    Pros

Every changing landscape and never a dull day. Job is regarding and management is very supportive.

    Cons

Large organization and easy to get lost.

    Advice to Management

Get everyone together under 1 roof annually, that way we can learn about the direction of the company and meet members of the entire org.

I have been working at TÜV SÜD America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Close to my house, generous time off policy

    Cons

No overall company policies. Rather than trying things out for enough time for them to work, policies/platforms are changed constantly. Turn over rate is insane. Have been there 5 years and have seen almost 80 people come and go, in an office of about 65.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to retain good employees. Give pay increases that are commensurate with work effort shown and at least with inflation! 1% my first year here... really?

Management went downhill in a short amount of time. Can't rate the CEO. Never saw him once.

I worked at TÜV SÜD America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no Pro's working here

    Cons

No training involved. They hand you a binder filled with pictures to have to learn there Accounting/Invoicing system. Management holds meetings almost every 2 hours which takes time away from your daily duties. Management will still expect you finish and submit all invoices by 6pm when you leave with OT not being offered.

    Advice to Management

Hire better managers and fix your training program!!!

I worked at TÜV SÜD America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Location was conveniently located off the highway. Some of the employees were pleasant, although they were usually not of higher ranks (supervisor or above) however in passing everyone generally said hello. The operating systems were fairly easy to use. Employees who were there over 5 years were helpful in explaining the technical difficulties that were common, which would be difficult to move past without their help.

    Cons

Communication was a very clear problem since day one and this created an uncomfortable work environment. Most employees are overworked leaving no time to learn new things. Taking time off was difficult as there was no one to help fill your spot while you were out. Supervisors were not very supportive, and only cared about what affected them personally and making themselves look good to the higher ups. There was no room to grow.

Also, the building was in desperate need of improving... poor air quality solutions, old carpeting, air temperature varied throughout the open space layout, bathrooms were gross- just to name a few. Also the health benefits were arranged as self pay company sponsored which meant tons of time spent trying to fix billing errors and the eligibility verifications were endless at each doctor appointment.

    Advice to Management

Communicate clearly and professionally to all employees. Learn the facts as they pertain to each entity so that the proper training can be supplied. Individuals should be treated with the same respect you would want to be treated with.

I worked at TÜV SÜD America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A huge company with vast resources to make sure all the tools required are available to be successful. Excellent facilities with state of the art equipment.

    Cons

Centralized management scheme with different layers located in various locations throughout United States. Too much dependence on phone conferencing without any face to face interaction.

    Advice to Management

More interaction with local management and onsite visits to actually see what is going on at a location.

I have been working at TÜV SÜD America full-time

    Pros

Opportunities for advancement, 401k match, lots of vacation time, there are offices around the world and most jobs have the potential to transfer

    Cons

Benefits getting worse year after year, high expectations for around the clock availability, internal competition damages the working environment, outdated IT programs and tools

    Advice to Management

Start showing commitment and be willing to make changes to improve the business. Employees complain about top management being invisible, only focused on the money and not the customer or employees.
