I worked at T-Mobile as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great/Smart people to work with. They have streamlined their project management process better than other companies I worked for

    Cons

While I made a good salary as a contractor, the FTE salaries are on the low side.

    Advice to Management

Allow more opportunities for advancement. This is based on feedback I rec'd from Sr. Managers while working at TMO

I worked at T-Mobile as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

+ open, collaborative working environment & culture
+ very outgoing, friendly, & capable people
    + flexible working atmosphere
+ knows how to create a fun workplace

    Cons

    - balancing budgets/funding problems; causes constant staff turn-over
    - resource management is a huge problem
    - lack of work-scope acknowledgement and commitment from leadership to partner service agreements. HUGE potential legal issues all over the place
    - unstable, inconsistent, interrupt-driven workflow
    - lack of enterprise communication about executive strategies to delivery teams
    - misguided governance; governance at T-Mobile is practiced as PMO-language authority rather than guiding standards
    - evolution vs. design plans; work at T-Mobile "aimlessly evolves" due to lack of design plans and planning models

    Advice to Management

Aside from T-Mobile's friendly working atmosphere, there's huge business conduct/practice concerns. Avoid using the word "evolve/evolution" to describe operational business practices. Evolution lacks design; it's like slapping design and architect teams in the face. Think of HGTV design spaces and imagine walking into completed development with your designers saying, "look at this evolution! its amazing." Evolving organizations don't understand where they're going. To improve, address and resolve the "Cons" section above.

I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work with Great people and make pretty good money. Fast paced work environment with great customers to meet everyday.

    Cons

Hourly pay could be better. Coming from a larger cellular company I took a huge pay cut with my hourly. I believe that since we're the face of the company we should get paid more hourly.

    Advice to Management

I would ask that management be more realistic.
