I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

PTO, flexible scheduling, benefits, employee discount, tend to get really close with your co workers who isn't management. Employee stock program.

    Cons

Commission changes constantly and usually not for the better. Management causes stressful work environment consistently.
Customers always feel entitled, and management does not back you up.
Have to work weekends and holidays.

    Advice to Management

    Do better

I worked at T-Mobile (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great pay
Great benefits including stock options and opportunities to test phones before they released.
    Made good friends

    Cons

The job was very stressful, especially once I became a senior rep and coach.
    Management can be bad.
    Hours were extremely inflexible.

    Advice to Management

Be professional. Don't let pettiness turn away great employees. Understand how you can affect the workplace environment with how you interact with your coaches and reps.

    Pros

    - great people and atmosphere

    Cons

    - the reorg changes are too often
    - strategy and way forward not clearly communicated

    Advice to Management

I have been working at T-Mobile as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to choose your own schedule, with shifts available ranging from 6 hours to 10 hours depending on if you want two days off or three days off. Pay is decent

    Cons

Often management is demanding, and has a sole focus on stats. However they do not reprimand those that are bringing said stats and the team down. As such often the whole team has to face mandatory overtime in general or just with their lunch. Job advancement also seems to take a good bit of time.

I have been working at T-Mobile (More than 8 years)

    Pros

T-Mobile has been doing pretty good for long time. Now that expected mergers talks are not going as expected, stock price is being impacted and future growth might be challenging.

    Cons

Company takes good care of employees but Atlanta location is driven by few key leaders who are not worried about employees growth at all. They are busy working to keep their bosses happy and focused on their own growth. Sounds familiar :) ? Atlanta leaders are very self eccentric.

    Advice to Management

Look out for after your experienced employees. Expectation to have your employees available 24 hours or working 15 hours a days should not be only things to keep them in your good books.

I worked at T-Mobile as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I was part of a large project. It was a great experience to be able to participate in such a large undertaking. I got to interface at all levels of the project team. I was made to feel like a member of the team.

    Cons

The downside of my experience was that the project was poorly managed which prolonged any chance of a successful launch. My project lead should really have not been placed in a leadership role. He micromanaged ever aspect of my working day which stifled initiative. I happily performed tasks which were out of scope for the position I was hired for because I had to experience to take on which went unacknowledged but expected.

    Advice to Management

I would say to management. Be more selective about who you place in leadership roles. Not all people are cut out to manage people to success

    I worked at T-Mobile part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get a generous discount on T-Mobile service. 401k, stock grants, PTO, health benefits. You get to play with all the latest smartphones and accessories (VR, speakers)

    Cons

Hours are always being cut. I had shifts where I was just scheduled for 2 hours! That's not a way to make a living.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees more hours to get the job done.
