I worked at T-Rex Cafe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

best job I ever had, such good morale at the place! The majority of management is great, same goes for the coworkers. There were a few people that weren't fun to work with but that's the case with any job. I really enjoyed my time at TREX, if I hadn't moved out of state I would still be there

    Cons

a few rude coworkers, and some really rude guests.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to fire the workers who don't do their job. especially in the host department

    Pros

    Not many to list here

    Cons

Bad management ....no education ...no training for them either
Lazy workers and on a tip share so you need to keep working harder to make your money ....and also theirs .
Also ...they will back down hours for "lack of production"
Full time is not 15 hours a week lol
Who thinks this is a motivational method of management ?

    Advice to Management

    Please get Education
    Stop lying
And for gods sake stop hiring felons

I have been working at T-Rex Cafe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

T-Rex is a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous under sea themed bar, encases 5 different themed dining areas, and also holds a Build-a-Dino workshop in our Dino Store.

    Cons

Poor team work, disorganized, rude co-workers, stressful/terrible managers, horrible pay for the amount of work you do, and work attire is uncomfortable.

    Advice to Management

Promote people who actually do a good job.

I worked at T-Rex Cafe (More than a year)

    Pros

Cash tips at the end of your shift, understanding management, flexibility to give up shifts, disney benefits

    Cons

exhausting, tourists tip horribly sometimes, disney dining plans are time consuming, many things to pay attention to at one, if something goes wrong the management freaks out on you if they are under pressure

    Advice to Management

    Be patient

    Pros

The income was worth it at first. Then with the addition of the Disney dining plan AND the high pressure to sell club memberships it was no longer worth it.

    Cons

High pressure job. Every server fears they will lose their job on any given day. High traffic restaurant. Guests from the street are free to walk and tour the restaurant. It can take ages just to walk from your tables to the kitchen. Mystery shoppers every month. After the addition of the Disney dining plan, income drastically decreased.

    Advice to Management

Need more employee encouragement. Pre-shift meetings are usually gripe fests

    Pros

Consistent Money. Flexible schedule. Disney passes. Small sections (2-4 tables). High PPA.

    Cons

Pressure to please guests / management in fast paced enormous restaurant. Coordinating paperwork between two POS systems.

    Advice to Management

    You are doing fine.

    I worked at T-Rex Cafe full-time

    Pros

NONE. Just making guests happy was the only highlight of my day.

    Cons

This place is by far the WORST company I have ever worked for. First of all, management here is completely unprofessional and they have twisted ways of doing things. They will pick favorites and if you are not a "favorite" then you will get thrown under the bus. They are all about sales and are completely irrational and put sales before guests everyday. DO NOT work here!

    Advice to Management

You really need to learn how to treat your employees.

I worked at T-Rex Cafe part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was great, and if we beat last years sales we were given 25 to 75 cents for every hour worked that month depending on by how much we beat it.

There were little challenges to increase work performance, it was fun and made you want to work harder.

There were a lot of different positions so it didn't get too monotonous.

The people were great and very friendly.

    Lots of hours available.

    Cons

Management plays favorites both in work and for promotions.

    High turnover rate.

    Pros

hours are good and meeting new ppl

    Cons

    trainers sucks, lack of information

    Advice to Management

Hiring process should be handled differently. Training should take place during the week day, Not on busy days Atleast the first couple days of training

    Pros

If you like being talked down to and told how terrible you are everyday, then this is the place for you.

    Cons

The clientele are rude and the managers don't care about you. The company is more worried about the money they are bringing in than any of their employees.

    Advice to Management

Have a more positive attitude and show that you care about your employees.
