    Pros

If you're interested in obtaining a Series 7 or 63 license, it's the perfect place to work

    Cons

Being forced to obtain a securities license

I worked at T. Rowe Price (More than a year)

    Pros

Good culture, good people, really good benefits

    Cons

Lot's of change right now so many people are being let go. Hard to move up - depends on who you know. VERY slow decision making and low salaries

    Advice to Management

Nice is not always good - stop the T Rowe Nice mindset

I worked at T. Rowe Price full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great - like really great - benefits, opportunity to make lateral moves within the company, although limited because of the scope of what the company actually does. Predictable hours in general, unless there is overtime. Easy 8-4:30 job.

    Cons

Environment was too corporate for me. Work for many employees is so micro managed, directed and structured that it's hard to really learn anything applicable outside of your specific job duties. Constantly monitored, metrics compared against your peers. They focus on pure numbers rather than your value as an employee. Compensation LOW. No work from home, old systems.

    Advice to Management

None really, it's a large company and they are running it by the book

    I worked at T. Rowe Price full-time

    Pros

Great working environment filled with a vast amount of teamwork, however, like many other firms, there also lies the issue of politics. Certain people worked harder than others, but since they did not have internal connections they were not promoted.

    Cons

Lack of attention paid to the associates that generated the maximum results
Too much politics..focus more on the quality of work of associates, not on who he/she knows

    Advice to Management

As stated above, focus on the work of associates, no on the political aspects.

I have been working at T. Rowe Price as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Extremely relaxing as the person/lead who assigns you the work doesn't know what he is doing. It's not just one or two teams but I have worked with 5 teams and all the teams seem to be having people with extremely low level knowledge on the product they are working.

    Cons

you learn nothing new other than continuously sharing your knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Try to improve your interview process.

I worked at T. Rowe Price full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job stability, nice office, fun people. Not a terrible place to work but you are at a giant company, cog in the wheel.

    Cons

Too big, too many layers of management, lack of creative freedom, not the most modern tech stack.

    Advice to Management

Not much to change, it is what it is. There are always plusses and minuses of any company at that size.

I have been working at T. Rowe Price full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are very big on promoting growth, great work life balance, fitness center on site, and excellent benefits package.

    Cons

I personally feel you have to brown noise your boss in order to move forward. They promote growth but I only see individuals that are best friend's with the boss moving forward.

    Advice to Management

A great number of your employee feel that there is a division in the company and a lot of the same offers are not being offered to all employee. You speak of equal opportunity but it is not being activity practiced.

I have been working at T. Rowe Price as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company, good place to work as a full time employee.

    Cons

There is no proper vendor management system. 80% of the contract employees comes through Tek Systems and it takes 50% of the rate for just standing in middle.

TRP feels like they are paying high and they expects high but actually employee gets peanuts.

    Advice to Management

TRP should care about their vendor management and there will be a rule like vendor have to pay at least 75% to the contract employees.

    Pros

    Great company, awesome benefits, coaching/mentoring.

    Cons

Apprehension/not very diverse as mentioned, not much opportunity if coming in as an Admin Assistant.

    Advice to Management

Work harder with your problem managers; inform administrative assistants of the managers they are going to be paired with. Give an opportunity to move if not a "right fit" for current manager.
