    Teaching is great, you set your own hours of work. Summers off.

    Pay is low and I haven't had a raise in 7 years.
    University is too focus on being an Emerging Research Institution that is loosing focus on students.

    Nice people, and the students are fun to work with.

    Cons

    Nothing ever goes anywhere. Projects are started on the fly, and never completed. There is also a lot of waste, and the students are the ones that end up paying for it.

    Advice to Management

    Get organized. Pick a goal and assign tasks and resources to accomplish it.

    Week after Christmas off. Good mission helping students.

    Cons

    Low salaries in most departments. Lose money on retirement benefit unless you stay 5 years.

    Advice to Management

    Provide a matching employee-directed account for retirement. Standardize salaries based on education and experience.
