I worked at TAQA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some great people work here. Pay and benefits are good. Offices are generally nice

    Cons

Too many poor leaders. Leaders in UAE don't understand different ways of working across the world. people don't know what the culture is anymore. Cost cutting has been drastic

    Advice to Management

Recruit experienced leaders in Abu Dhabi and listen to the experienced leaders you have across the world.

I worked at TAQA (More than a year)

    Pros

Good link to higher up positions, could speak to finance manager if required

    Cons

Cut backs meant that jobs became larger as people were laid off and work load became larger in order to cover

    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at TAQA full-time

    Pros

    the pay
a country club atmosphere - so got paid a lot of money with no real accountability or hard work

    Cons

Poor CEO - Fred L. was a lawyer and terrible. The new CEO is better but overall the Middle East has no idea how to run a North American Oil and Gas company - e.g. winter drilling programs and spring break-up. Very secretive at the top.
Terrible VP's most were eventually fired thankfully.

    Advice to Management

Put people in charge that are strong oil and gas experienced explorationists; can manage to budgets and strong people leaders.
