    Huge boost for career, great networking, vast experience in different industries with leading companies, fast promoting and strong impact from day one

    Cons

    Very long hours, not all clients and projects are interesting at the same level, salary is very low after one year experience compared to alternatives

    I have been working at TASC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work environment was ok. Peers interaction was good. Motivation from other program peers was excellent.

    Cons

    Leaderstyle needs improvement. Micromanagement is encouraged and not good for independent, motivated, self reliant workers

    Advice to Management

    For me advancement to management was not good. However, if your in with the click club it seems to work.

    Friendly, professional, client centered

    Cons

    Not enough bonuses, no yearly raises, money does,not trickle down from the top.

    Advice to Management

    Yearly raises for all staff not just management, return to salary pay,

    This company is no longer in existence. It is now Engility.

    Pros

    TASC is an excellent company to work for. The work is challenging and the environment is first-rate.

    Cons

    Higher management is disconnected from the working level. Nothing unusual there and although frustrating, it does not affect the professionalism at the worker level.

    Advice to Management

    Engage with employees. Keep them informed.

    Pros

    Interesting work; good people among the rank and file; reasonable job security especially for engineers. Good reputation. Good working conditions.

    Cons

    middle and upper management had little appreciation of customer requirements at the working level sometimes making it hard for provide the kind of support working level customers need. this is not exceptional in the industry.

    Advice to Management

    Flatten the organization to free up resources in support of front line program managers with direct working-level customers

    Decent benefits and nice co-workers

    Cons

    Too many chiefs in the tribe. Management was unorganized and too worried about their own careers to effectively manage or mentor younger employees.

    Advice to Management

    Streamline the management hierarchy and hire competent managers

    Pros

    Excellent senior management. Allows autonomy. HR and benefits support is very good. Benefits are reasonable for the industry. Opportunities are plentiful. Security clearances are helpful.

    Cons

    Facilities is not part of TASC's wheelhouse so reachback support is difficult. Razor thin margins make for difficult hiring at times. Performance feedback is regimented and doesn't lead to proper decision making regarding finding the best and getting rid of the not so good.

    Advice to Management

    Apply a system of evaluation that will help put the best peole in front of the client in lieu of keeping the same people around jsut because they do a good job. Look for better.

    Great education benefits, flexible hours, talented analysts.

    Cons

    Following the merger (acquisition) with Engility, the company went downhill.

    As spoken by John Hynes himself during a town hall meeting, "no annual cost of living increase."
