    Pros

Very positive environment - people love what they do and you are surrounded by passionate hard working people.

    Cons

Long hours - some weekends and holidays. Expect to live for your job. But if you love what you do then it's all worth it.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at TBWA\Media Arts Lab

    Pros

Free Breakfast Casual dress Don’t do it

    Cons

There are so many cons it is hard to prioritize them. Very disorganized. Long work hours. Very low pay unless you are an elite creative. WiFi is so bad. They make you use a old MacBook Air for years. Very little respect given to juniors. You will be belittled. You will be disrespected. Hr will not help you. They do not show they care about you on a human level at any point in time.

    Advice to Management

    Care about people more.

    I worked at TBWA\Media Arts Lab full-time

    Pros

Nowhere else will you find the kind of attention to detail required at MAL. Absolutely top in the world and it would do anyone a service to learn the level of skill in any role.

    Cons

There is a culture of fear at both the client and the agency.

    Advice to Management

Foster a spirit of teamwork and try to get back to the spirit of fearlessness that Jobs brought to Apple.

I have been working at TBWA\Media Arts Lab full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

If you're lucky you'll work with amazing creatives who will feel like family after all the trauma you get put through together. You may even learn a lot when you're asked to do an ungodly amount of work by yourself on an impossible deadline. If any of your projects see the light of day, it's extremely rewarding to finally show people what you do for Apple. There are cool concerts and guest speakers, free breakfast and...

    Cons

Extremely negligent "management" (creative directors, project managers), almost no on boarding and extreme disorganization lead to long stretches of time where you have nothing at all to work on. When that isn't the case, the exact opposite is true and you can kiss your life/weekends/evenings/planned vacations goodbye.

    I worked at TBWA\Media Arts Lab full-time

    Pros

    - Beautiful modern work space - Reputable company / resume experience - Fast pace ensures you'll strengthen your skills

    Cons

    - No work/life balance - Must be available around the clock - You are expected to work above all else in life - Emotional, aggressive, entitled management - Low salary and high demands

    Advice to Management

Have a heart for the people on the ground doing the work. More than once I've witnessed a junior employee being yelled at and humiliated by their supervisor. Start reprimanding the right people and stop rewarding the wrong people.

    Pros

everyone will say breakfast (if you get there early enough), patio shows where musicians come to play on the back patio, most of the staff is generally really friendly.

    Cons

-lots of people promoted way too early, who dont have the proper skillset -little to no time off -the creatives are the only people that matter in the agency, and you can definitely tell -too many young kids being hired that dont have enough experience -poor leadership and management. lots of micromanaging. -WHO CANCELS YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY??!?!?! -feels like a sweatshop at times -very, very long hours -be...
