I have been working at TCC Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management appreciates hard work and is quick to acknowledge accomplishment.
Benefits and salaries are very competitive based on my having worked at other NY area consulting firms.
Work is interesting and nature of projects always changes.
Ongoing opportunities to learn and grow in the field.
    Great staff across all levels.

    Cons

No doubt there is a time commitment required to work at TCC. However, that commitment is no different than working for ANY professional services firm.
Work and deadlines come in waves, so there are times when working more than 40 hours is unavoidable. It is not always possible to plan schedules far in advance.

    Advice to Management

I see a huge current commitment by management to improve communication, policies and project planning efficiency and profitability at the firm. My advice is to stick with that commitment and follow through to achieve results.

I worked at TCC Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Brilliant colleagues, creative work, and wonderful clients. Great opportunities for networking, and presenting work.

    Cons

Very poor work life balance. Some managers are very rude and overworked

    Advice to Management

Learn to delegate. Hire assistants if overworked and over scheduled. Don't be rude to your staff when clients are difficult. Be very clear about opportunities for growth

I worked at TCC Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The nature of the work with consulting clients is varied and very interesting. Opportunity to work with smart colleagues.

    Cons

Management expectations re life-work are terrible. Firm lacks sense of strategic direction (ironic for a management consulting firm!).

    Advice to Management

Figure out where TCC fits in broader nonprofit/philanthropic consulting field. Revitalize and shake up a management team lacking in vision and creativity.

I worked at TCC Group as an intern

    Pros

The managers are helpful in every way because I am a new employee in the company and I was not very experienced

    Cons

It is very hard to cope with the work environment. The competitive culture reminds me of the time when I am in Singapore.
