      Great entry level position

      Pros

      - Great to start off your career in finance - Paid training - Great place to network - Good benefits and working environment - Really good working culture, most people are understanding of respecting each other's circumstances - Great place to express yourself physically (i.e. piercings, tattoos, dress for your day)

      Cons

      - Not great if you can't soft sell services - Training is extremely draining for certifications - Quick burnout for call center positions - Hourly pay

      Please Rethink

      Pros

I really enjoy working with my team and manager(s) on a weekly basis. They did a good of a job as they could in moving everything to a remote platform while still trying to keep a friendly, open, and trusting work-life environment. there's also very good benefits in terms of certifications and a clear path for promotions, if you can survive the internship. In their phase 2 of the internship they offer to cover and pay for studying for multiple financial certifications that are very beneficial if you are looking to get into that line of work as a profession.

      Cons

This is a call center, and just barely a glorified one. If i wanted to get yelled at over the phone i could have just looked for a call center job at any other company, this one just happened to be for a financial institution and fulfill my internship credit requirement for my school. The first few months are very exciting, meeting people and training was enjoyable, but ever since it has been very telling that you will learn very little in this role that will benefit you in another internship program. Your classmates that were hired for other programs are learning way more and acquiring much more useful skills than you are in this position.

Great company but do not provide equality to all associates

      Pros

Really good benefits that include: health, vision, 401(k) match 50% up to 6%, 15 hrs per month PTO, paid federal holidays, quarterly bonuses, meals, holiday party, and drinks. They allow remote work when necessary.

      Cons

The month of June they fly the LBGTQ+ pride flag over the company. May is military appreciation month, but they do not fly any military or POW/MIA flags. In fact, the pride flag was the ONLY flag they fly other than the American and TD Ameritrade. There was a lot more support and encouragement for the LBGTQ+ associates more than any other. Being bought out by Charles Schwabb. It had been in the works for a couple of years, but senior leadership kept that hidden from the associates. The company would more often than not hire someone from outside the company, for managerial type positions, rather than promote from within.

      Pros

Technologically innovative company, good benefits, good culture

      Cons

Competitor purchased the firm, so a great deal of talent will be lost to natural attrition as well as new organizational synergies.

      Pros

Good benefits, work from home, unlimited OT, competitive pay

      Cons

If you are looking to get out of the call center and advance upwards, good luck. Their was not a lot of upward movement when I worked there, and especially now with the merger. Let's hope Schwab does a better job establishing a culture and allows people to move up more easily.
