I worked at TD full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great inclusive culture, open and relax

    Cons

Trying to change the open and relax culture to be more business-driven. Not a lot of opportunities outside of retail banking in Fl.

    Advice to Management

You are good being TD don't try to be something else.

I have been working at TD full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

generous PTO accrued bi-weekly with paycheck, 401k matches after 1 year of service, excellent health/dental/vision benefits with options from different companies.

    Cons

Work-life balance is supposedly a "Pro factor" with the company but it is not. Most locations are open 7 days a week and long hours. Full-timers feel the brunt of the long hours and have many many asks r from upper management. Store Managers are rarely in the Stores, leaving the Assistant Managers to deal with everything. Upper management raves about the "TD Culture" but it is never enforced when it matters

I worked at TD full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Invested in technology and the human experience. Flexibility in schedule and very open concept culture

    Cons

Not enough opportunity within the Miami Dade area to transcend to other career opportunities. If you looking to grow you need to be willing to relocate.

    Advice to Management

Create a career plan for other employees that do not necessarily are looking into retail banking positions. Really look into how Retail Banking Managers make an impact (positive/negative) in their teams. Most of them do not lead by example.

I have been working at TD full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great company to work for, people are great. Company really values work/life balance. GREAT BENEFITS (with the exception of medical, that just avg)

    Cons

Hard to break leave retail once your're in. Back office has a negative assumption of retail store employees. Have to really prove yourself.

    Advice to Management

Let go of projects/programs that are not working and that customers voice their distaste for (lobby leadership)

I worked at TD full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits Incentives Pay time off Assistance programs Volunteer programs Diversity

    Cons

Never enough employees Hard to balance work/personal life Not enough support at regional level Unrealistic goals

    Advice to Management

They need to set more realistic goals, not only on sales, but with the amount of requirements that each store need to complete without enough personnel to cover. They should follow up with candidates after they apply for a new position so they could prepare for future roles if they don’t qualify for it.

I have been working at TD full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They will not hold you back. Show that you can handle the responsibilities and are willing to learn and they will give you the opportunity once if it's available.

    Cons

TD prides itself in being the most convenient bank. This means that they are generally open on Sundays and for longer hours than most banks. Be ready to work hours that are closer to retail than banking.

    Advice to Management

Be more consistent between branch experiences.

    Pros

Don't know, just started using it. So far it has been pretty easy. Looking forward to what you find for me.

    Cons

Just getting used to using the site. Would like a place to put what I don't want to be included in, like retail.
