I worked at TD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The corporate training is good. Benefits are decent.

    Cons

Management was horrible. People were allowed to get away with questionable practices for far too long. The environment in the store I was in was extremely confrontational an cliquey. The hours are far worse than other banks, which you know beforehand. At my interview they said they would work with me on my schedule, then when I started working, it was a problem.

    Advice to Management

Don't turn the other way when you see bad things happening.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

TD Bank is a great place to start out a banking career. They pay well and are willing to work with school schedules.

    Cons

The customers are rude, there is little room to move up and all the branches are short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your workers. Help them improve and actually listen to where they want to go in this company.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small amount of employees gives a familial feel to the workplace. Very big advocates of diversity and being the true version of yourself

    Cons

Focus on customer service can become overbearing and measurement of customer service seems flawed. Technology within branches could be improved to streamline transactions and help prevent fraud.

    Pros

    PTO and work life balance

    Cons

Training and immature and under qualified supervisors. Too much senior management turnover. Too focused on sales and not customer service. Always understaffed

    Advice to Management

Put a better training program in place. Three days of teller training isn't enough and make sure individuals especially Head Tellers are qualified and mature enough to do the job. Stop making tellers push sales so much. They lose focus on customer service. Also, managers should be involved more with vault activity such as getting change, counting and verifying if deposit discrepancies instead of putting it all on tellers.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get ample amount of vacation time. You get bonuses quarterly.

    Cons

They do not seem to hire from within. You have to jump through hoops to get a promotion. Once you finally get the promotion the pay increase is virtually nothing.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation of the people you have while you have them. I have seen alot of good people leave because TD would not pay them enough.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

TD Bank allows for great career advancement and believes in promoting from within, which helps the established employees get better jobs despite their lack of post-secondary education.

    Cons

Forever TD has lacked technology advancement and has been behind in new tech -- something unusual for a top-10 bank.

I worked at TD (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Vacation time values of company

    Cons

The hours are really bad open 7 days a week and always short handed. I have worked sometimes 8 days in a row from 7_5 or 7-6. With the schedule you never know what weekends you are working and what days you have off during the week. Constantly changing.

    Advice to Management

    Schedule are not done properly
