I worked at TD full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, nice time off package but could be better...

    Cons

Hours are longer than most banks, sales are rough considering the amount of foot traffic, no communication between management and employees, expectations are too high to be considered fair

    Advice to Management

take some time to think about the employees, instead of doing "employee appreciation week," appreciate employees by helping them with sales and changing the sales revenue process, show that you care about your customers.... and communicate

    Pros

Small amount of employees gives a familial feel to the workplace. Very big advocates of diversity and being the true version of yourself

    Cons

Focus on customer service can become overbearing and measurement of customer service seems flawed. Technology within branches could be improved to streamline transactions and help prevent fraud.

    I worked at TD full-time

    Pros

Pay is okay. Not as bad as I expected it to be. You learn to be a lot more independent and gain experience on using certain software. TD bank culture is okay. I like the fact that they always try to put customers first.

    Benefits are okay.

    Cons

Why did I leave you ask?

MANAGEMENT IS THE WORST! I have never in my life worked with such fraudulent, uneducated and unprofessional people!

More than half of the staff in the branch I worked in would open accounts for clients whom weren't even aware of it!

There is also a lot of favoritism in this bank! If you're not the manager's favorite, you're not getting anywhere regardless of the sales you make in the branch or region -- and let me tell you, I was ranked one of the highest in sales and customer service in the region -- and I did this the honest, right way, not the fraudulent way.

Managers would threaten people whom they didn't favor and would also discriminate if you weren't of similar race. How do you threaten certain colleagues about firing or transferring them when they have done nothing wrong.., Here's the best part, Manager would put fear in the branch by saying they have access to when you reach HR. HR does take a while to get back to your case but they can get things done. Also, I have worked for other branches, and it's the same issue. What happened to the TD culture?!?!?!

How does management ask Tellers and CSR's how to use Microsoft Office? Really? How to copy and paste? How to change the color of the background in Excel??? How does management not know what the branch's cost center is when you have been working in the same branch for years!!! Really? Come on TD get your act together!

    Advice to Management

Instead of hiring people whom are recommended by other managers or colleagues, HIRE PEOPLE WHOM ACTUALLY HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE!!! You should also invest in better technology! It's sad how networking works nowadays!

    Pros

    PTO and work life balance

    Cons

Training and immature and under qualified supervisors. Too much senior management turnover. Too focused on sales and not customer service. Always understaffed

    Advice to Management

Put a better training program in place. Three days of teller training isn't enough and make sure individuals especially Head Tellers are qualified and mature enough to do the job. Stop making tellers push sales so much. They lose focus on customer service. Also, managers should be involved more with vault activity such as getting change, counting and verifying if deposit discrepancies instead of putting it all on tellers.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get ample amount of vacation time. You get bonuses quarterly.

    Cons

They do not seem to hire from within. You have to jump through hoops to get a promotion. Once you finally get the promotion the pay increase is virtually nothing.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation of the people you have while you have them. I have seen alot of good people leave because TD would not pay them enough.
