I worked at TD full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fair salary, okay number of days off but do not get sick!

    Cons

Branch managers are not qualified and do not perform their full job and same goes for the regional directors. There is discrimination between the employees and not are treated equal in the branch (working hours are not rotating and some have the privilege for days off whenever they want while others no.

    Advice to Management

HR should monitor things more and keep an eye on branch managers. They should investigate why good employees leave and how other stay even when they perform big mistakes.

    I worked at TD full-time

    Pros

    Benefits and compensation are good.

    Cons

Financial Services Rep program is about 5 years old, they seem to be confused about where they are going with this position. When hired i was told i would do more insurance/retirement products, turned out I was a licensed Customer Service Rep with an added sales goal of financial products. Technically making the position a sales leader role. All of this was revealed after a few months of being hired and going through the training. You will need to either have or get your health and life insurance licenses for this role. Unstable scheduling, some days you will work 12 hrs and other 6 hrs, never consistent. The position is good for learning everything but you essentially become an assistant manager without the title or pay. I had a first year branch manager who didn't know how to manage and only delegate and micro-manage. Career path isn't high since after this position the next level is branch manager.

    Advice to Management

Do not play favorites and no need for micromanaging. Need to have training for new managers on managing just like everyone else has training for their positions they're being hired for.

I worked at TD as a contractor

    Pros

Off by 4pm daily, no weekends required

    Cons

If you're a contractor then expect to be treated like hired help. There's no formal training for the check fraud department. Everyone has their own way of doing business but staying within the banks guidelines. Management is disengaged from workers.
