    Pros

    Friendly coworkers
    Professional, but easy going
    Supportive supervisors
    Pay is not too bad
Willing to extend contracts for temps

    Cons

Not so easy to land a permanent role if you're a contract worker

Hard to get better systems in place but the supervisors do give it their all to go to bat for the workers.

I have been working at TD (More than a year)

    Pros

A great company overall. Very professional yet casual company. Senior leaders are willing to communicate directly with junior members, no hierarchy of limitations. They also have a great maternity leave policy. Very supportive and generous.

    Cons

Having a manager who is unsupportive and unwilling to meet for one on ones. I found unless its an HR requirement or major issues my manager avoids meeting one to one. S/he is only focused on the numbers/ amount of worked produced. No real support for personal growth and try's to limits relationship development outside of the team unless Your a senior team member.

    Advice to Management

Provide management training, not all senior leaders can effectively manage people. Seek to support career growth and new opportunities. These are encouraged company wide however not all managers put this into practice.

I worked at TD full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Canadian ethos makes this a very nice place to work relative to wall street bulge brackets

    Cons

Theres a downside to the niceness -- it becomes very sterile and hyper corporate -- they were having some difficulty keeping people initially when they first entered the region (northeast US). Also, not a great place to be if you do not have a lot of technical experience going into it -- they did not have any training for new folks when I first got there though I am certain that's changed.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Friendly environment, a lot of opportunities, great learning experience, still better than most banks when it comes to service. Employees are allowed to use judgement and encouraged to put customers first.

    Cons

Long hours. Can't help all customers you need to because there's not enough staff. Too many different scripts, campaigns and initiatives going on at once. This takes time away from customers.

    Advice to Management

    Simplify things.
