I worked at TD as a contractor

    Pros

Off by 4pm daily, no weekends required

    Cons

If you're a contractor then expect to be treated like hired help. There's no formal training for the check fraud department. Everyone has their own way of doing business but staying within the banks guidelines. Management is disengaged from workers.

I worked at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I absolutely loved the team I worked with. Management was a different story.

    Cons

Very low pay and sales goals are pushed hard on tellers. I've always thought a bank's focus should be on customer service, not sales. Because I didn't sell, I was never looked at for promotions. My customer service skills were always highly rated but that was never enough.

    Advice to Management

Remove sales goals on tellers and let them focus on customer service.

I worked at TD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at TD Bank for almost 3 years. The best part of the job were the people I worked with and the customers. I also was a member of the Wow Bragade and that was a lot of fun! Me and the group traveled to branches that were secret shopped and scored well!

    Cons

I was very eager to move up but was held back by my branch manager due to the fact that I was "too good" at what I did in that particular branch. I was shown the ropes of Assistan Head Teller but told I wasn't ready even though I was expected to do the job.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees! They know the business well and have a lot of insight to what the customers want! Don't hold people back from wanting to move forward even if that means they go to another branch.

I worked at TD (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good for students because TD will work around your schedule and give your p/t hours, but they are not accommodating with full time employees.

    Cons

Schedule is constantly changing, hours are from 7AM - 8PM, anywhere in between with little notice. There are no breaks and only 30 minutes for lunch. Raises are 10 cents; 25 cents per hour over a year if you are lucky. The bank has pushed all responsibility onto the branch people so there is no room for advancement out of the branch. They overwork and underpay. They are constantly raising goals to unrealistic levels, and paying bonus only when these goals are reached. Bonuses and raises are no tiny, it is not worth the effort to work so hard.

    Advice to Management

    care about your employees more.

I have been working at TD full-time

    Pros

I'm very disappointed with this company. After working in banking for over 12 years I thought I've seen it all....but no!!! TD is the worst company I've ever worked for. No structure, horrible management and you will take a lot of abuse!!

    Cons

There isn't any. I wish I could say There are but no! Well...the benefits maybe. But at the end of the day it's not worth the sacrifice.

    Advice to Management

Start caring and get involve more. Not just sit in the office on your a* .I'm sorry but it's true. It's seems like you only get involved when there is serious problem.
