I have been working at TD full-time

    Pros

Great place to work. It really depends on who your manager is. TD is very generous when it comes to PTO and 401K.

    Cons

Pay isn't great and since it's a Canadian bank, the bank is open on some American holidays thou TD is trying to follow the "American route."

    Advice to Management

It all starts with your employee's. If your employee's are happy, than our customers are happy. It's basic business 101 rule.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule for the most part due to its hours. There is a genuine investment put into its employees to make sure each employee is put in the best position to succeed at his/her job.

    Cons

A few of the systems and processes are a bit antiquated and could be improved. The pay isn't as competitive as other bigger banks but it is still comparable.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work culture, a lot of support, decent training, very vocal about job role, PTO is decent. The people I work with are all good people. Management seems to take an interest in you. Low stress work environment.

    Cons

The hours are hard to create a routine. You will work 7 days in a row one week and then have off a weekend. Also if you work a weekend you will have off a random Tuesday yet work longer hours the rest of the week.
Some branches are very slow where it is difficult to get sales.
You only have the Life Health Annuity License so you are very limited on the investment options.
Managers will be moved a lot, sometimes leaving the branch without a manager or assistant for a period of time.
Vacation schedule has to be set up in the beginning of the year, which is difficult to have flexibility when setting up vacation times.
Most branches are understaffed, you will have a lot of time rushing people in and out instead of being able to take time to explore investment needs with each customer.
Not a great career path for advancement if you want to stay in with investments. They pretty much say that the only way to get into wealth is to get promoted to Assistant manager and then store manager. A lot that some people do not want to do to get into TD Wealth.
Assistant managers deal with a lot of the nonsense and stress from management. Micromanaging is big too.
Increases in pay each year are sad. 2% is the most they can offer each year.
Commission is a mess, and they are bad payouts.

    Advice to Management

Create more urgency with the FSR role to the rest of the bank. Sometimes you are getting sales on your own.

I have been working at TD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

reasonable Pay, awesome benefits. 6 weeks off per year (pto days that include sick pay)

    Cons

hours, only bank that i know of that is open on Sunday. Full time employees are asked to work on Sunday (only open for 5 hours) so that cuts out hours out of paycheck. Poor communication between departments, very long hold times to call back office. Sales goals exist but are not out of control, there are numbers that have to be met and if you don't meet them (even for a brief period of time) it will keep you from progressing.

    Advice to Management

have a better means of communication, instead of being numbers focused, allow team members to have the chance to offer feed back (more than once a year during a survey)

    Pros

    - Growing bank with lot of potential

    Cons

    Pros

Over 240 hours vacation time annually. Good company values. Super flexible schedule, while offering stability. Work from home, 8 or 10 hour days
