Heavy micromanaging so if you dislike your supervisor looking over your shoulder and assessing nearly all that you do—this isn’t the job for you. This dispatch supervisor also lacks compassion/ empathy, and she gossips about her employees in the workplace which I believe is unhealthy for the team. Nonetheless, The dispatch supervisor can be nice at times, but her attitude is very inconsistent. Also, being a dispatcher please know that you will need to have your dispatch board covered when you go to lunch, so there is not guarantee you will be able to go to lunch at your ideal time.

I took this job about 7 months ago because I felt stagnant in my last position doing accounts payable and managing our commercial HVAC accounts/contracts. I took this job because I would learn new skills and I wanted to switch things up and learn the accounts receivables side to AP/AR. I also took this job because the Controller/HR Director is a fabulous woman and I wanted to work with her. This is a fast growing company that has tripled in size in the last couple of years. The pay is good, the benefits are good, the company culture is great, my coworkers are awesome and positive minded people, the CEO is young and does a lot for our community. There is no drama or yelling in this company - extremely professional work environment which means so much to me.
Cons
The non-existent PTO for the 1st year of employment (and only 5 days after your 1st year) really needs to be revisited.
