I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Above average pay Various opportunities to move within company, travel If you have initiative you can gain good exposure

    Cons

Overly complex, slow, and bureaucratic processes Conflicting goals and objectives between teams Declining morale, too much politics No training

    Advice to Management

It is becoming quite the revolving door and morale is plummeting. Take the complexity out of the organization to empower your employees to get the job done right the first time.

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Currently offers a nice matching gift program. This has evolved due to subcontractor changes over the years; seemed to become more difficult to process requests, but is now working smoothly. Please don't change again.

    Cons

Inflexible work hours, expect to work any time between 5AM until 10PM with a global assignment. Without much prior notice either.

I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Large company with great ideas and strategy especially at very high level, plenty of innovation and challenges that keeps you entertained. Frequent restructuring their divisions creates opportunities for your career, salary is acceptable.

    Cons

Unfortunately not all divisions operate similar, while in some BU they take good care of people, promote internally, develop their career others are terrible managing talent and seems to focus more on bringing their “pals” to work from outside than promoting from inside. Some BU have great strategy and performing very well, others are in bad shape resulting on no incentives, no motivation and lack of respect for... skills and experience

    Advice to Management

Share other BU experiences, communicate clearly, respect skilled personnel, work on unified strategy

    Pros

Fantastic Raychem Energy products, fantastic people here originally with a lot of ideas and teamwork.

    Cons

Management team for Energy from the top down is demeaning to employees. Systems and processes have put hand cuffs on creativity and agility. People are afraid to take chances for fear of retaliation. All the talent has fled.

    Advice to Management

Clean house at the ALT level and up.

I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

$15B dollar company with diversified products and technologies, extensive reach into a variety of markets ranging from automotive to military. Career opportunities abound as well as locations to work.

    Cons

Big company can also mean being "reduced" if deemed necessary. HR is slow to respond to applications and has no followup mechanism acknowledging receipt of interest.

    Advice to Management

Create incentive programs for EVERY employee to succeed. Make sure that people feel valued as contributors to TE's success, by offering bonuses for going above and beyond. Finally, make sure that people are treated with care, not as a number.

I have been working at TE Connectivity

    Pros

Daily cooperation among groups is good. Middle management is good. The location is great, with little traffic, but close to cities.

    Cons

Little to no salary increases in years. Corporate intrusion of new HR policies is annoying. Too much emphasis on completing online integrity courses which are of no value.

    Advice to Management

Give annual raises at least to keep up with the cost of living. Improve benefits each year instead of erode them.
