I worked at TEES (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a good experience and the times were flexible to our schedule

    Cons

Did not find any cons. Have not worked as a full time employee.

    Advice to Management

Can not judge on that basis because of the level of involvement

I worked at TEES (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employment at TEES was meant to improve skills as a researcher for engineering and science. TEES affords many opportunities for skills growth. The experience is real and valuable and can translate to real-world applications easily.

    Cons

There aren't many. Salary is limited, naturally and it can best be described as "getting paid for 20 hours but actually working 40".

I have been working at TEES part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours. You get to meet interesting and passionate people. A lot of the professors in Texas A&M University are really good scientists and mentors.

    Cons

Compensation is really low, benefits are bad and there no vacation time.

As a graduate student you have no work/life balance; if you are doing a PhD, this is a very serious issue. You can only survive if you have an iron stomach or you are really dedicated. Expect some health issues due to stress.

    Advice to Management

Give some raises, better benefits and force professors to have their students take some time off.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at TEES part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The great thing about working for TEES is broad engineering capabilities from aerospace to nuclear. They even have their own nuclear reactor!

    Cons

Bureaucratic administrators that are more concerned about checking off boxes and following orders than building a better company.

    Advice to Management

If you want to cut costs, cut the useless middle and upper management jobs.

  8. "An excellent introduction to research"

I worked at TEES part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The projects are interesting, and undergraduates are given great perks and treated respectfully where I am. The pay is fair and the hours are flexible.

    Cons

As a part-time student worker, sometimes important deadlines can be too demanding, and require a lot of outside hours, stress, and pressure.

    Advice to Management

I really don't deal with upper management.
