I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture is amazing. I love the people I work with directly.

    Cons

The pay is super low and you barely get bonuses which is something they lead with.
There is no professional development plan for this role to move up. You can either become a recruiter or quit.
The mamagement of the RFM is all over the place. No follow up...no action plan. It is almost like they are winging it for training.
CSA turnover is high because of the way management treats CSA's
Our role is considered HR everywhere else but here it is customer support associate which means you will not be getting paid to do HR work but you will still be doing HR work underpaid only because the title is that.
They say they have an open door policy but really its not because if you try to talk to anyone over your bosses head because things are not being taken care of you are repremended.
I know the company values however I feel like from a CSA world they do not care about us because we can be replaced so they don't want to put in effort or work with us to help us grow.
The only thing that the president of the company cares about is the recruiters and account managers that make him and the company more money. CSA just cut the check and anyone can do that so why would they go the extra mile to help us.

    Advice to Management

I would really advise making it a point to create a professional development plan. Listen to your employees and treat everyone fairly. Treating CSA like they are replaceable is not a good feeling. Some people are coming straight out of college and this is thier first impression of corporate America that it is very unorganized and treat them lowest of the low. If you all treated CSA's the same you treat recruiters or account managers you probably would not see all the turn over in the market.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great feedback and lots of outreach from management. They really treated me as a valued asset and gave me legit feedback on positions. I was never 'ghosted' unlike about every other firm I worked with.

    Cons

The contractor benefits are the worst I have ever been offered. I ended up getting better benefits myself.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. Provide feedback.

I worked at TEKsystems as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

They did find me a position fairly quickly.

    Cons

Minimal paid time off, benefits very expensive. I worked nights and the recruiter I worked with was very inflexible about scheduling meetings, she also was immature and non responsive to emails and voicemails.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people better. Better benefits and paid time off are a standard.

I have been working at TEKsystems (More than a year)

    Pros

TEKsystems takes outstanding care of their contractors. All recruiter have that I have worked with (5) took the time to work with me, touching bases every two weeks or less, and looking for the next contract for me.

    Cons

None that I have experienced in the last 2.5 years. They have a great business model for taking care of their customers and contractors. Benefits package is a little light...

    Advice to Management

None, the recruiters that I work with are always at their best.

I worked at TEKsystems as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

TEK was my go-to contracting company. They worked very hard within their infrastructure to get me placed and always had multiple opportunities. Compensation was fair to good.

    Cons

As a contractor, the benefits available to me were very limited - something that ultimately drove me to find a position as an employee.

I worked at TEKsystems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quick turn a rounds on positions they need filled immediately. They follow up with you and keep you up to date on the status of the position.

    Cons

No benefits! No medical or otherwise. They will also not backup or support the consultant if it means standing up to a company's management. They really only care about making money. They are staff augmentation and that is it.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the consultant. Provide benefits and keep good consultants longer.Focus on how to improve the consultant's on the job training and work life. Listen to what the consultant has to say and follow up. Just don't pretend to care.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

My client manager has done her best to represent me well and support me.

    Cons

It's a staffing and placement firm, so it will always have a superficial feel to it as you will not really feel as though you belong, just that you are the commodity that they are selling.

    Advice to Management

Don't be too wed to the large corporations in the regions as they work together to drive down rates. Go after the mid sized accounts that you can get better rates and establish longer term relationships with.
