I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff are very competent and in tune with what their customers want and what kind of jobs that they are offering.

    Cons

They mislead a colleague as to whether they were going to offer sponsorship (said they would and then didn't at the last moment; not enough time for him to recover).

    Advice to Management

Do not push people to decide whether to take a position quickly. Career choices are important and should not be rushed.

I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not much except the breakfast on your start day. They wont show up after that. Be careful with them especially in Dallas area. Try to stay away

    Cons

Inefficient staff, No knowledge of basic immigration things and work authorization
Screwed career. Careless people do not answer your call as well

    Advice to Management

Train employers on all aspects of employment and how to be an efficient individual at least.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Started as a tier 1 support; after much hard work promoted to Tier 2; then eventually the company I've supported reached out to our team and me for a position. Even though Teksystems may hire you just as a contractor, your hard work may eventually get you the job of your dreams. For that I'm thankful.

    Cons

Contract employee means you'll miss out on benefits such as 401K, profit sharing, etc. Contractor to hire can be a confusing and timely transition.

    Advice to Management

It's difficult to train new support teams and analysts for various contracts; sometimes T1 and T2 guys find out last of IT changes within our supporting companies. I feel it's important to keep in contact with the companies Teksystems is paid to support to know of any changes to minimize support issues and stress for both our clients and analysts.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor

    Pros

TEKsystems recruiters go the extra mile for their contractors, and are very communicative about all the details involved with each job opportunity.

    Cons

Need to build a stronger presence with employers in Tarrant County - most of their accounts tend to be in Irving and North Dallas.

I have been working at TEKsystems as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Timeliness of communication.
Salary always get deposited on time, which is very important for a contract job.
Very good A/c Management leadership, always forthcoming with help when needed.
Great recruiter, the communication between recruiter, A/c Manager and Candidate is seamless.
Overall - Excellent place to work as a contract employee or consultant.

    Cons

I am being really critical here, but just to mention, a more periodic review cycle would be helpful.
Did not honor the original rate that I had asked for and they had agreed to, but I was okay with what they eventually offered.

I have been working at TEKsystems full-time

    Pros

Unlimited Commission potential, unmatched training, incredible co workers. Flexible hours, unlimited vacation as along as you are producing. Leaders that care about your success, New president that is involved and enjoys spending time with "the little guys". Work hard play hard culture. Ability to realistically earn $150K plus a year in sales.

    Cons

Company goal is to saturate all accounts, this means that if you build an account to a large number, they split up your territory to expand growth- it's not always a bad thing, but can make an impact on your income. They have taken away the top commission tier a few years ago which definitely negatively impacts the top producers. They seem to change compensation structure/bonus structure every few years. They now offer "ownership" which are stock appreciation rights that expire in 5 years unless you move into a Director title role. Great for up and comer leaders, bad for those that have been around a long time.

    Advice to Management

Go Public so your employees can have "real" ownership.
