I worked at TEKsystems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Incredible training within recruiting, sales, and business
-Teaches grit, persistence, and building relationships

    Cons

I worked at TEKsystems for over 2 years. Let's just say this, the people that are still there are working there because they haven't had a professional job outside of TEKsystems. That's their entire model...hire people straight out of college so they have no idea how much better other companies are.

-Your first day you are immediately being judged by the office to see if you will last there or not, if you'll be a good recruiter, etc.
-You go to lunch with the entire office (1 person each day), which is absolutely awesome and rare, but it's really to just get that "cult-like" thinking in your head immediately
-The training is essentially this: "Call as many people as possible, build your network, put them to work"
-There are people that are put on different "skill-sets" to recruit on, some are much easier to be successful in (specifically a skill-set called EUS at TEKsystems), and those people usually are held in high regard in the office without leadership factoring how much easier it is to get placements

It's really sad because the last two directors there were actually two of the best guys I've ever met (from a personal perspective) but when they get in that role, it's like TEKsystems ruins who they are. I've seen someone become a different person after leaving that position.

Go read reviews for TEKsystems in other locations - it's all the same. You will never experience politics, backstabbing, and people pretending to care about you like you will there. Everyone pushes you to be successful by pretending they are your family and care about you, but if you leave (even in a positive way), they won't reach out to you anymore.

    Advice to Management

It's hard to give advice when it seems to be an intangible, foundational issue that won't be fixed unless leadership takes a step back and realized that they have created a culture that is not working. They won't fix it though because the entire business model is to use their incredible ATS system, cycle in recent grads every year, and have them place candidates before they leave so TEKsystems can get the remaining commission.

I have been working at TEKsystems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Collaborative environment - There is a real team-rule at TEKsystems, it feels like your team is your immediate family and you are supported by a much larger extended family across the globe.
Elite - TEK was the hardest (and longest) interview process i went through but once i got in i realized why. The quality of consultant is another level compared to other agencies i interviewed at. It seems to be the sort of place that is tough to get into, but once you're in - you are part of the family.
Disciplined - It is difficult to explain the level attention to detail of an individual's development. You have an individual training plan as well as being part of an Training Academy cohort - you are taught early on that results matter but given the freedom to find your way to success. It can be daunting at the beginning but what you learn is that you have joined the best of the best - if i wanted to be average i would have gone somewhere else!
Rewards - The commission/bonus scheme is really good here, you can make embarrassingly huge amounts of money in your 2nd / 3rd year however what really makes the place special is the Quarter events/year events and share schemes for top achievers making you feel like you are part of something special. Personally i am not only driven by money, TEK seems to have recognized that and there are plenty of incentives to keep me engaged.
Maturity - Most recruitment agencies i interviewed with were either wide-boys in bad suits and too much hair gel or laid back with beards and a strange tech startup culture where nobody seemed to get anything done. When interviewing with TEK i felt for the first time i had met business people that were doing something more than running a lifestyle business or a boiler room which is how other companies felt.

    Cons

TEK don't do a lot to market themselves; there is a belief that the proof is in the pudding but that can hold you back sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Do more to sell yourselves to clients.
