I have been working at TELUS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits program and competitive pay (depending on how well you negotiate). Lots of room to grow and move around within the company. Work from home opportunity a big plus!

    Cons

Cost cutting in the last two years. Not all Managers/teams are the same so you really have to do your research before joining a new team.

    Advice to Management

Too much focus on cost cutting though the company except Executive compensation - not a great message sent to employees.

I have been working at TELUS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good perks (cell phone, home phone, broadband, TV), Healthcare 80% , Dental 100% routine, 60% other stuff.
Lots of opportunites and promotion, a lot of my colleagues have moved up within.
Great work life ballance, work from home most of the time, which saves money and costs and is very convenient for picking up kids from school, appointments, etc.
Management are very helpful and supportive

    Cons

Pressure - a lot of the roles are in pressurised environments.
Lots of jobs, but they are posted externally as well as internally so competition is fierce.
Total package (see above) is good, but base salary could be higher and this affects your pension.
