I have been working at TELUS as a contractor

    Pros

Good culture, great projects, great flexibility - sull time employees can work remotely or from multiple offices

    Cons

the matrix orientation makes it hard to understand the priorities, budgets, timelines for projects and deliverable sometimes. Managers dont share the career progression and growth opportunities for my role

    Advice to Management

Please embrace the culture and be more flexible in work environment, rates, expectations, progress...

I worked at TELUS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Gave me an opportunity to develop in my career supported by a decent management team. A good working environment and benefits package (include flexible/remote workstyles).

    Cons

Like a lot of large corporations, there are some areas of the organization that still get bogged down in too much bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

A fair bit of turnover recently has resulted in a lot of experienced resources leaving and leaving a void within the company which is not always easy to fill by new hires.
