    International exposure, self inspiration and motivation required, independent project grant, proposal development opportunity

    Cons

    pay scale not at par with industry, promotions are slow and not rewarding, all jobs are contract based and not permanent

    pay increments and promotions should be rewarding

    Pros

    Good side is you work with a good team. And one who likes to work on various projects can perform here.

    Cons

    You may restrict your career to specific role. Many here say system is bureaucratic here.Growth is salary might be limited.

    There needs to be relaxation in authority to take decisions within organization so that one should not be made to seek help of directors every time.

    Pros

    Open communication, Good learning experience for environmental research, Reasonable working hours, Fun people, great support staff, good collaborations with international agencies.

    Cons

    Lack of interesting projects, politics in the office (not too bad, but would be better without), perceived lack of growth opportunities.

    More transparency in performance evaluations, more one-on-one interaction with employees.

    Pros

    Freedom to work across areas, Good location, Plenty to learn, Several field work opportunities, access to a large network, I got a decent starting salary

    Cons

    Field work allowance is low, 'flat hierarchy' is sub-optimally implemented - several people trying to be the boss, i have heard that increments are not as per expectations

    Advice to Management

    Avoid instructions flowing through multiple people
