People, atmosphere, casual environment, willing to teach

    Cons

CEO who was stuck in old ways and didn't adjust to changes in industry fast enough to keep the company in business.

    Pros

Great people at the San Diego studio - lots of smart and talented teammates. Employees were treated well, plenty of snacks, flexible hours, had to work some overtime but not horrible.

    Cons

Typical game company stuff - occasional crunch time near the milestones, but not as bad as the hours I've heard of at other places.

I worked at THQ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to work with the best people in the industry and take part in a meaningful project. Good standards amongst the various studios.

    Cons

Sometimes you are required to work long hours, as expected near the end of a project. It is compensated for, however when you work light hours at the start of a project.

Great People, they get the work done and have fun doing it. Casual yet professional at the same time.

    I worked at THQ full-time

    Pros

Real career progression, great teams and a clear goal for the future. Thoroughly enjoyed working at THQ. Felt a real sense of belonging and was involved in setting future goals and strategy.

    Cons

Sadly, the company has folder and the assets have been sold off. The great games that the company made have continued as the studios were bought by other publishers.
