    Pros

    Unlimited PTO, flexible work schedule

    Cons

No direction given. Sought out guidance only to have emails ignored by senior level managers/employees. Changed pay structure shortly after I signed my contract to start

    Advice to Management

Need to give more guidance to new employees and hire managers that actually care about their employees.

    Pros

The ability to work from home is a plus.

    Cons

TIBCO was a great company until they were acquired by Vista. Only management is promoted from within. No opportunity for growth. Churn & Burn

I have been working at TIBCO Software (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's great to work in a cloud-based product team in TIBCO. You'll be involved in working with all other TIBCO products in different teams. You have the chance to go abroad to different centers of TIBCO which is a very exciting thing.

    Cons

The salary rise is slow. They try to save money to acquire new company or do something else. More and more senior engineers begin to lose patient and left.

    Advice to Management

Please look important to your stuff, try to give them a rise actively, otherwise, they'll think about changing company. Especially for the senior engineers.

I worked at TIBCO Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

From the professional services point of view:

    Great benefits,
Decent commission plan (used to better but still pretty decent)
    Less workload/pressure
Good place for people who want to take some time off to relax

    Cons

Silos to begin with! There is no formal channel for services to provide feedback to engineering. New products releases are received by the customers and TIBCO services at the same time which makes the services just as unaware of the product features as the customers themselves.

On the silos, there also seems like a complete disconnect between the HR and the field managers as far as hiring is concerned. People are hired, trained and laid off without even getting an opportunity on a single project. And this seems to be a quarterly phenomena.

TIBCO has lost the race when it comes to its core capability -Integration. They have failed to adopt to the nuances in the field and seem to be only playing a game of catching up with growing players.

Despite going private, the culture of taking sole guidance from quarterly numbers doesn't seem to be changing. The commissions plans both for services and sales are still quarter based which makes every dimension myopic and lacking of any long term strategy or view.

    Advice to Management

Establish channels between your silos. You'll keep wasting money on training people and losing talent pertaining to your short term quarterly mindsets otherwise.
