    Pros

Smart Engineers to work with and awesome products.

    Cons

Not friendly if you are a person working on some VISA. Not friendly for immigration help when you are at the company or you leave the company.
The HR department or Immigration department is not at all helpfull.
They do not think of the immigration situation of a person at all.

    They have POLICIES for everything.
Obtaining Employment verification Letters has Policies and a personal recommendation also has Policies.

    Advice to Management

    LOOK INTO YOUR POLICIES

I worked at TIBCO Software full-time

    Pros

They have good benefits, good 401K and good time off.

    Cons

The morale is horrible, the higher level executives spend money on things like presidents club and spend thousands of dollars for things that benefit them, yet they say they cannot give bonuses and raises! No one respects the CEO or the Head of HR. People speak badly about them everywhere. Lots of politics in this company. Its all about who you know. Only some departments allow working from home, most do not. Lots of bad managers. If the CEO is not a supporter, that trickles down the chain.

    Advice to Management

Stop spending unnecessary money, invest in your employees. try to retain the good employees and get rid of the bad ones. Retrain your management to become better managers.

    Cons

    - Out of sync with market needs
    - Product quality issues
    - Top management in disarray and no real blueprint for success

    Advice to Management

Get some diverse perspectives in the boardroom, seek feedback from employees & customers, and above all, do some basic market research to know what should be your key focus

I worked at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

All the pros involve the company I worked for before the tibco acquisition and for the first 2 years after that where they left us alone. Our management was amazing.

    Cons

No coordination between groups. Separate groups would be working on similar products - facing the same technical challenges with more of a competitive attitude than a cooperative one. I was put on a new product that was completely undefined - the PM asked the developers what features we should add.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the massive acquisition strategy and do some product planning! Do some research and find a niche to fill. Don't just ask the developers to make up stuff!

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The companies has improved by leaps and bounds over the last 2 years since I started. Systems, data, marketing, and sales have become incredibly strategic under re-focused leadership.

TIBCO has made intelligent product acquisitions and is headed in the right direction. Leadership has focused a lot on hiring young people with high potential to succeed, which is one of the main reasons for the turn-around.

This is a great mid-sized company to work for and I'd recommend it for anyone fresh out of college as well as seasoned professionals.

    Cons

Some senior team members (but no higher than manager level) are rewarded based on years rather than skill.

    Advice to Management

Involve your lower level employees more when making a new hire.

    Pros

I think the location is the best part of working for TIBCO.

    Cons

Minimal work life balance, management is not properly trained, and going above and beyond is not valued.

I worked at TIBCO Software (More than a year)

    Pros

Large scale enterprise software company, runs some critical processes for some of the biggest companies in the world

    Cons

Limited or no growth for the company, lack of career development. Very tops-down company eith limited visibility to strategy or rationale for decision making. Private entity with PE backer means limited financial upside. If you just want a job in software, its a safe place. If you want to grow personally and professionally, not the best option.

    Advice to Management

Increaee transparency, make bonus program actually viable. Its ridiculous that Sales people make their commission but the rest of the company gets stiffed on bonus because Sales missed their targets, depressing EBITDA

I have been working at TIBCO Software (More than a year)

    Pros

Great product roadmap and differentiated offerings the markets wants
Strong leadership...especially from newly anointed COO
Great culture, cross functional and engaged team's and customer focused environment
Ability to truly effect change and make a difference
Great career opportunities for those who put in the work

    Cons

Not a place to "blend in" ....no Oracle, IBM or SAP culture of being a cog in the wheel here-people have to work and be accountable- so not for the faint of heart

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing
    Retain and attract top talent
Continue to focus on the clients
Do not lose sight of 3, 5 and 7 year changing marketplace and customer needs
