I worked at TIBCO Software (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some really great and talented people. Historically has a culture of people helping each other. Good products (some of them are best in class), and finally a good product vision unveiled in 2016. Decent work/life balance if you have a good manager - but make sure you have a good manager otherwise life will be difficult.

Marketing is also finally doing a decent job. For years TIBCO's marketing was really bad. Over the last year or so they have really stepped up their game.

    Cons

TIBCO has done nothing to retain employees and there is no career path for many people. If you want to be promoted and get a good salary hike, quit and come back one year later. I know amazing people who worked at TIBCO for 5+ years and left because TIBCO refused to give them a meaningful salary increase in that time. They are getting 30%+ salary bumps by leaving.

If you are joining product engineering then you will probably have a good experience. But all customer facing positions (e.g. Sales, PreSales, Services, Training) are a mess. Avoid these groups. If you want to join these groups, push hard for high base salary since your maximum bonus will look impressive, but nobody has come close to this max bonus in years due to high targets.

I agree with the other review that says the immigration manager is horrible. There is no transparency into what is going on, and all the emails that come out of the immigration group are very rude and they act like they are doing you a huge favor to even answer a question.

    Advice to Management

TIBCO will do well in the long run, but 2016/2017 are going to be tough years as the products and sales strategy catch up with the product vision. Realize that your employees will keep you afloat during this time. Actually put some effort into retaining employees. Don't make statements about HR looking at salaries and then provide a 3% bump after years of no salary increases. Don't fire respected people who have won TIBCO awards for years and expect the remaining employees to not start looking elsewhere.

    Pros

Good benefits, meet and work with great people

    Cons

Consistent changes in employees and management
Lack of leadership and poor management skills
Low pay, very little increase, and no rewards to their employees
Hire lack of experienced employees or only hire employees who passes the assessment test that is required.
Wrong employees leaving or laying off.

    Advice to Management

A lot of the managements need further training skills and appreciate their staffs.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time

    Pros

Decent salary, good benefits, negotiable perks, manageable work hours (most of the time), helpful and hardworking employees (non-management)

    Cons

Current CTO is excellent but his vision doesn't trickle to engineering micro teams.
Field consultants have an excellent support community that exists in isolation from sales/engineering
If you're anywhere except Sales or upper management- your efforts won't be well compensated

    Advice to Management

You have to stop the internal politics if we want to take the company back where it once was.

    Pros

Good pay and nice benefits. Exposure to training and lots of software solutions.

    Cons

There is little to no collobaration as the resources are all over the world and in many cases spread very thin. If you are not connected with the correct team you find yourself uniformed and always feeling disconnected.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for employees to work together. Do a better job with communication and transparency

I have been working at TIBCO Software (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's great to work in a cloud-based product team in TIBCO. You'll be involved in working with all other TIBCO products in different teams. You have the chance to go abroad to different centers of TIBCO which is a very exciting thing.

    Cons

The salary rise is slow. They try to save money to acquire new company or do something else. More and more senior engineers begin to lose patient and left.

    Advice to Management

Please look important to your stuff, try to give them a rise actively, otherwise, they'll think about changing company. Especially for the senior engineers.
