I have been working at TIBCO Software (More than 10 years)

    Pros

TIBCO has been an innovator in the past 15 years wrt event driven arch, bpm, mdm, cep. This was down to smart people working together to create great products and smart people selling and delivering projects to satisfied customers. 401k is ok, healthcare benefits are good.

    Cons

Since TIBCO went private there has been an exodus of experienced and talented people. This also means that ESPP/stock grants are gone as form of comp and have not been replaced with alternative, giving everyone an indirect paycut. Morale is in the toilet and the common topic of conversation seems to be who is going to get laid off next, where people are interviewing/leaving for. It feels like the sword of damocles hangs over everyone's head each quarter/month.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your people. Tell them what you are really trying to do. Some might stay and work with you but right now you have people who joined a different company 3+ years ago and don't understand what you are doing. Hire people who know how to run the company the way you want it to run, not the way it was run before.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Is a good changing and evolving technology company and there is a lot to learn for any product it has. As a Consultant you may get to travel a lot. Good for starting in consultancy.

    Cons

There is a lot of management changes lately and a lot of changes on policies that discourage you to give your best.
Lack of leadership and rewards to their employees
No equality on payment for same job position
Almost no job promotions and when they are very little salary increase.
The people that have more time on the company are the ones with the lower salaries.
    Don't care their experienced employees.

    Advice to Management

While you are reducing costs you are reducing also your experienced and most valuable employees.
