I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have worked here for almost 5 years and TIBCO is the most unique company I have worked for. It has the closeness of a start-up but is the size of a much larger company. There is no limit to what they allow you to do if you show them that you work hard. The Senior leadership team is transparent which is extremely important and they listen. The CMO Thomas Been is amazing and has really brought the marketing organization closer over the past several months. He also knows how important it is to keep communication with sales consistent and open and he is easy to talk to so it's not awkward.

    Cons

Like any company we all take on a lot more than we should, but we ARE hiring, so I hope that it will improve with the headcount.

    Advice to Management

Value the employees you have. It costs more to recruit and train new employees.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The hours are very flexible in marketing, as long as you get your work done, most people don't bat an eye at when you come in.

Most of the people are friendly and supportive.

Most of the time your decisions do not get second-guessed, which I appreciate because lack of respect was prevalent across my previous company.

HR does fun TGIFs every few months with music, food, and drinks.

Every year there is a fun company party, as well as a fun company picnic to show appreciation to employees.

    Cons

There is still a very reactionary culture here, where things are well-planned, but things seem to be starting to turn around.

Some people are paid well, while others are paid very poorly. Promises of raises and promotions aren't always kept, which has been causing a mass exodus in Marketing.

There are a lot of contractors who have been waiting to become full-time employees.

    Advice to Management

Pay your current employees better so you won't have to be looking for their replacement in a couple of months.

I worked at TIBCO Software as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The good managers are friendly and knowledgeable. Focus on employee work-life balance. Management communication is relatively achievable.

    Cons

Workload can be heavy with limited resources. With rounds of layoffs, company is facing many challenges and morale can sometimes get low.

    Advice to Management

Company morale can be low and seems to have lost part of its luster. Some of the good people have left, but they still have talent to that can invigorate its products and company culture.
