I worked at TJ Maxx part-time

    Pros

management worked around your schedule especially if you are a student. You also get paid weekly which is a plus

    Cons

They are always hiring new people which makes it hard to get more hours. Most of the focus is getting credit applications

    Advice to Management

continue working with people and their schedules. It helps keep the people happy

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you love being able to walk a lot this is the job ! I've lost a good amount of weight from this and I'm proud ! But overall you learn a lot about this job and it's merchandise as well . Lots of unique nic nacs especially the home department !

    Cons

A lot of the times all this company cares about is getting credit credit .. and credit . Also security for tjmax is terrible . Lots of theft that goes unseen . Also registers need a little bit of a upgrade ! To be more convenient for the customers.

    Advice to Management

The managers at tjmax are alright I guess well most of them . I've had bad experiences with a few and all of them weren't my fault . I mean you got one that yells over the littlest things possible and does not know how to communicate with associates at all . Also known as verbal abuse . Sometimes I feel like I have to be a customer to get some respect from this place .

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Win gift cards. No uniform. Win prizes. Ten percent off. We sometimes have twenty percent off not that often though.

    Cons

Horrible management. Management and coordinators treat you like you are less. Horrible hours. Work like 2 times a week if lucky. Hire anybody more teens and people that are lazy. Management does not know how to talk to associates. Too much drama like if it were high school.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect. Stop hiring so many people. Give hours. Learn how to manage. Stop giving the lazy people so many hours and actually give hard workers the hrs they deserve. Pick coordinators that now how to help and train associates. Don't expect so much especially if we are only getting paid nine dollars an hr.

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to personally look at the great merchandise they have to offer and very little employee discount, but its is good to have it.

    Cons

A few of the coordinators and very rude and commanding who give you orders like you own them.
Overall this job would be an unrewarding place to work.

    Advice to Management

Give better training to part-time associates and give them better attention so they can get a better sense of what to work on and the company can get better retention
