I worked at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, part time, if u need a day off, Management is willing to work with you. day shifts are better than night shifts, some nice co-workers & management.

    Cons

Nightmare shifts, no one is not allowed to leave until every thing is put away and dealing with very rudely immature young co-workers who yell & scream & cursing at top of their lungs ! Then TJ Maxx schedule u 5.5 hours at night but everyone works one hour longer and u get only 15 min break. Bathroom are horrible & dirty. Management watch u like a hawk, always short of staff on the floor.

    Advice to Management

Don't allow some of these rudely behavior of these workers at night shifts ,who have no respect at a professional work space.

    Pros

The health insurance coverage was excellent.

    Cons

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time

    Pros

    sometimes friendly co workers?

    Cons

coordinators insult you, managers dont manage, no hours, favorites, little pay, hours arent flexible, full time isnt an option, no benefits, no where to move up.

    Advice to Management

hours are a big problem, schedule the hours evenly so there are no complaints of having 20 hours one week and 10 the next

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

can be chill sometimes. you build friendships and connections with your coworkers.

    Cons

horrible pay. short break and sometimes they forget to send you. never schedule enough cashiers. cut hours way too much/ never have a set schedule. customers are a pain and managers are not helpful when it comes to dealing with them. also, if youre a cashier they don't offer you training on the floor. as a cashier you do the most work in the store and things are constantly changing.

    Advice to Management

stop hiring people who are lazy and offer better training for your employees so that the ones that actually work dont have to stay an hour after closing to help others with their departments.

I worked at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

First job.. I have new respect for people that work retail.

    Cons

Had a 4 hour week, a few 8 hour weeks, and eventually a 16 hour week. You aren't a person there and the managers act like they're sergeants. Looking back on it, it was completely unrelaxed and it seemed like at any time you were about to get stomped out of your employment if you weren't working insanely hard. Minimum pay.

    Advice to Management

It's just a retail store, not boot camp.
