I worked at TJ Maxx part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great merchandise, flexibility with scheduling, some nice people, nice work place, great area (so always busy) and pretty cool coworkers

    Cons

Managers get mad that they have flexible schedules, e.g., never enough people to work on a busy day. Hated the bathroom for women needs more stalls. Not always a happy environment when there are too many women working.

    Advice to Management

    Make bugger bathrooms

I worked at TJ Maxx (More than a year)

    Pros

I was able to choose my own flexible schedule while I attended school. My staff was very approachable and easy to come to with questions/concerns. Not to mention a 15% discount on in-store purchases!

    Cons

My managers never asked me if I wanted to do anything different, such as work at the cash registers, while they would ask only females to work the registers.

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Started at 9.00/hr when minimum wage was 7.50/hr, which was pretty good. They don't have flexible hours but do allow for RTO's, which you need to submit 3 weeks prior.

    Cons

I don't have very many cons, I think that he only cons I'd have, if any is that they need to plan the night better and allow for more time to complete tasks

    Advice to Management

Try to be more personable with your younger crew.

    Advice to Management

Don't favor certain employees just because they your friends. Practice what you "preach". SM should be more involved.
