    Pros

Work with your availability, Friendly associates, Good for students who need a part time job, pays good for a retail job

    Cons

Depending on what store or location you end up in that will ultimately determine your future with this "company" Unfortunately I did not end up in a good location but I'm not gonna put my location on blast even tho the mangers there fully deserve to be uncovered.. If you have bad mangers at your location expect to be treated like your replaceable, expect to have to play the kiss up game in order to get somewhere because you getting somewhere is not going to be based on your work ethic just how management sees you.. Expect to be used especially when there is a big visit coming they'll ask you to work all these hours and than when the big boys come over they'll act like they don't know you.. Let me share to you some of the nonsense of what happened to me.. So they do have some Associate appreciation things like the reach winners and Associate of the quarter etc... I won Associate of the quarter one time and when you win this award your name is obviously supposed to be recognized and posted some where throughout the store.. But my management didn't care my name went the entire quarter without being posted at all and when I finally confronted one of the managers there response is "oh my gosh honey I didn't know" hard to believe that's the case and that was not the case.. I started as a cashier but worked my way up to a cashier supervisor... aka a "customer experience coordinator" the manager that promoted me unfortunately stopped working there but throughout my entire time there the operations manager the one who made the schedule would always just schedule me as a regular cashier but yet the other supervisors never had to ring and always got put on for their supervisor shifts but I was only given a shift for supervisor one time... When I got promoted nobody ever took the time to even sit down and actually explain the details of the position that I now held... They never increased my pay rate and on top of that I never received a supervisor name tag... In the month of April the store had a total of 206 tjx credit card applications done.. Me myself alone had more than half of that number in fact I had done over 100 applications myself... Which is funny because I'm not even supposed to be a cashier because like I said I got promoted to a cashier supervisor... shows you how much I really supervised anything.. I got absolutely no recognition for it... I had associates coming up to me telling me how the management they felt like they couldn't talk too .. which proves that I'm not the only one not liking the way the store was being ran.. When I tried to motivate the other supervisors to work as hard and to build a better front end team there response was "I don't really care"... But of course those were the people who were looked at highly by management and given the most hours even though they would spend the entire day not doing a single thing... Store was open for a year and a half... and in that year in a half I saw for different store managers walk through the door... Absolutely a horrible experience and my feelings were absolutely crushed by the whole thing

    Advice to Management

You know who you are.... Learn how to actually care about everybody and not just certain people
