    Pros

    Get raises often, fun environment

    Cons

Managers are extremely rude, do not go by the rules, push employees to do tasks in an impossible short amount of time. Higher management do not seem to care about our complaints towards management.

    Advice to Management

    Get new ones

    Pros

Great pay (for my old role), benefits, comradery.

    Cons

Old technology (or was), had to share too much with other people that you were forced to trust with sensitive information.

    Advice to Management

Hard to give advice because I haven't been there for a while, so I don't know what's improved or gotten worse.

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most coworkers who aren't managers and some entry level supervisors are hard workers and good people. Decent break room with good lighting.

    Cons

Everything else. You are watched like a hawk. Managers and supervisors whisper the whereabouts of employees on BREAK through the "walkie." Every bathroom break is noted. If cashiering, you take returns on underwear, bathing suits, earrings and beauty products which are put back on the floor for sale. Few items are damaged out. Long term employees are afraid of losing their job and management knows this so there are many not so veiled threats given. Management gossips about employees in break room in front of other employees. Managers and the admins are too comfortable being nasty to the employees. Store is very dusty. Customers act like they're shopping a high end store but they need to remember they are purchasing a bunch of lot sale closeouts.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. Treat your employees with respect and the store will run better. Trust the employees that you know handle their jobs well. Allow workers to cross train which will help when people call out. Reinforce the positive instead of looking for the negative all the time. Could be a good place to work but the managers abuse their power.
