I worked at TMI Hospitality full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, awesome assistant general manager and General Manager, clean property, discounts, open door, communication, assistance, greatly appreciated hard work and let’s you know you have done well.

    Cons

Pay, pay, pay, pay cost of benefits, schedule. You end up working shifts that were unexpected and that you never agreed to and they don’t care. Let employees get away with entirely to much nepotism is a huge issue. Lots of drama and back stabbing if the don’t like you. They make it miserable to work so you quit because they won’t fire you for false pretenses.

    Advice to Management

Fire kids that can’t show up for work. Promote ones that deserve it. Eliminate problem employees. Review pay prior to a year of not your turn over will continue to be awful.

I have been working at TMI Hospitality full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work at your own pace with deadlines. Easy going atmosphere with people who are understanding of family life.

    Cons

Company is not stable. Keeps getting bought out. Most recent change was Aimbridge buy in July and then handed the Audits/ IT team to Realcom Solutions. Ran out of work to do, everything is on hold.

    Advice to Management

Have more meetings to reaffirm postions and be open with employees with what you know on changes.

I have been working at TMI Hospitality full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good Hilton discounts on hotels

    Cons

Favoritism really bad, treated unfairly, no absenteeism or point system for their family employees or their favorites. Your not appreciated instead your used to pick up the slack of others that they favor that have constant no call no shows, call ins. Too much drama and gossip between management and certain employees you either side in with them or your treated badly and given extra rooms so the favorites have less work and allowed to play around. There's no advancement and it's not a good work environment.

    Advice to Management

Hire new management that actually do their job, enforce point, treat all employees equal and with respect. Show appreciation to the ones that actually do their job and get rid of the ones that are allowed to come to work to start drama and milk the clock.

I worked at TMI Hospitality full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had an amazing staff both line level, and management in the beginning. Worked hard, flexible scheduling, vacation time, felt as if you could go far with this company.

    Cons

Pay was a concern, as was safety. As a manager we did not get the back up that the line level employees did. Anytime an employee or guest called corporate, it felt as if we didn't get the same chance to explain our side. Long hours (13-14 hour days) due to staffing, which was in part with the low pay.

    Advice to Management

Give management a chance to explain their side. Drug test management as well.

    Cons

No downside here. I still feel in the loop. It can get a little hectic , but what job doesnt.
