    Pros

    Good work environment, team building activities such as happy hours, golf tournaments, holiday party, early release Friday's and comfortable casual work attire.

    Cons

    Company moved to a medical deductible from a co pay plan.

    Pros

    Fun employee events, early release Fridays, coworkers were easy to get along with, good benefits.

    Cons

    The pay wasn't very good.

    Advice to Management

    You shouldn't only make decisions based upon trying to sell the company.

    I have been working at TN Marketing full-time

    Pros

    Depending on the department (and/or manager), it's pretty laid back with some flexibility to work at home. Executive team is transparent with rest of staff. The business model is solid.

    Cons

    The principle investors and current CEO are readying the company for a sale. With that, budgets (including salaries and bonuses) are freezing. For the most part, there's a hiring freeze. So the "con" here is the company is trying to stay on its path for growth while scaling back resources.

    That said, all signs are pointing to if/when a sale happens, some - or most? - current employees should be safe. Of course, there are no guarantees.

    Pros

    Small, Entrepreneurial, Good Benefits, good work/life balance, fair compensation, great employees

    Cons

    limited opportunity for advancement, outdated resources, lack of defined vision for growth.

    Advice to Management

    If something isn't working, don't be hesitant to move on and try something new. Have more faith in the ideas and suggestions of the younger generation.

    Pros

    TN Marketing puts significant effort into keeping the workplace fun ranging from potlucks and cook-offs to pumpkin carving contests and golf tournaments.

    Cons

    Promotions and raises are not based on who is most qualified but who is most popular and/or friends with upper management.
    TN Marketing's business model borders legality and it is hard to work for a company where you would hate to be their target audience. There's a reason why so many people file claims with BBB.

    Pros

    Off early most Fridays.
    Very modern working space.
    Benefits (but they were getting pricy).
    There are a several very smart (genius) people working here.
    Lots of hats to wear, new things to learn if you excel to.
    Great first job out of college.
    Many happy hours, event, and parties. You get to know your co workers very well.

    Current employee potential.

    Cons

    Low moral.
    Lots of corners cut.
    Many in management weren't deserving of title.
    Company hierarchy was very vertical and top heavy, which compounds previous statement.
    Business direction and decisions blindside to most.
    Upper management didn't know the day to day, but it seemed like they were starting to change that.

    Advice to Management

    Be more open and honest with employee's upfront. Give a clearer vision about what you are thinking and let employee's buy into that vision with you (especially with the business transition to online). You will earn their trust that way.

    Lead by example. Your payroll ROI could be several fold.

    Pros

    Small environment where everyone see's everyone. Nice building. Many work functions encouraging employee participation. Benefits are good.

    Cons

    Small environment where no body cares to know you unless you're "important" and can help others look better. Most VPs or Directors there aren't worthy of their titles. Because it's a small company there is no where for you to go so you get an advanced title. Which is why the management style is laid back because they're not experienced in bringing the company to the next level. They have to work with other third parties to increase business or bring in new ideas.

    There is a lot of drinking at functions which makes for an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. The CEO never says "Hi" or acknowledges you should he walks by you in the hall. If you have another insight that disagrees with the current view, you're most likely out of a job. Benefits are really expensive. There is no value for people with real talent.

    Be ready to drink the boozed up kool-aid!

    Advice to Management

    Learn to promote people who make the foundation of the company and push to make the company better.

    Creativity .. and fun energetic place to work. Flexible with employees.

    Cons

    Keeping everyone in the loop as to what is going on. Lack of mentoring.

    Advice to Management

    encourage and mentor employees to get the best out of them. They will follow your lead.

    Pros

    Great company that is team driven, early release on Fridays, many company outings/parties, awesome training program, fun working environment and overall an amazing place to work!

    Cons

    There is always work to be done and often can be stressful. Promotions aren't given very often but greatly acknowledged when they are received!

    Advice to Management

    Don't forget to acknowledge your employees hard work and success!

    Pros

    Staff is friendly and committed - Easy to develop a strong team relationship.
    Innovative - Marketing and Product Development are outstanding.
    Training - It's very easy to understand what is expected, and how to excel. Kudos to everyone who has contributed to the general training processes, procedures, and development of training structure.

    Cons

    Growth - while one is encouraged to participate in personal development, it seems discouraging with little acknowledged growth within the company.
    Communication - Important changes have been known to become surprises.

    Integrity is key. Support the company Mission.
