I have been working at TORM as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

fleet manned by indian office has entirely indian crew and hence indian food. company has standard wages and hene no bargain culture

    Cons

Wages are not at par with the market. With the influx of new employees in the staff, office seems mismanaged and sign on/off are troublesome. Danish authority norms are highly stringent

I have been working at TORM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exciting, fast paced international work environment. Offices in Copenhagen, Singapore and New York. Plenty of scope for personal development.

    Cons

Tanker market most likely to stay depressed for years to come, limiting bonuses and career possibilities. Torm has experienced a financial restructuring which will impact companys flexibility.

Former Employee - Third Assistant Engineer in Mumbai (India)

I worked at TORM (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The work culture is good. Few pros include
    Majorly Indan crew
    Indian food onboard(Vegetarian meals)
    Industry standard reimbursements

    Cons

After the change in office staff, the wait times for joining has increased considerably. A change in medical centres has aggravated the situation

    Advice to Management

The HR team needs a complete overhaul. Also, severe cost-cutting measures have resulted in employee attrition and work rest imbalance. The impending loans and constant sale of vessels does not help the company's reputation either.
