I have been working at TRANZACT full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Staff is friendly. Employee events are fun. There is opportunity for bonuses, but they are slim and do vary based on the campaigns you work on. Employees are helpful in answering questions when help is needed.

    Cons

Communication is very poor in all areas. Managers are always in their offices with doors closed. Micro-managed every second of the day. Employees are watched by supervisors who sit in higher cubicles. Environment is very uncomfortable, and there is a sense of insecurity that is bred by management only communicating with supervisors and Leads. Turnover is very high. Production rate and expectations are almost unrealistic, but not for management's favored employees. It's beyond belief that the company doesn't even give raises, not even small cost of living increases. Any increase would come if you're promoted to a higher level, but there are very few opportunities for that.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiding in your offices. Don't say something one day and reverse it the next. Be consistent and truthful with your employees. Treat them like adults and add some flexibility to their workday. Talk to the people doing the work, not just members of the management team.

I worked at TRANZACT full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Holiday parties are good
Keurig machine and unlimited coffee is available
    The director Nancy is stellar
Food trucks at building every so often

    Cons

I felt like more of an adult when I was 5 days old than I did working here. You can't eat, get something to drink, go to the restroom or have a quick phone call without being questioned about where you were. Forget being comfortable in one position. You will be moved into an entirely different position and role with no extra pay or willingness to go. This is not to "help you grow" as presented to you, this is to fill a pathetic hole for upper management. Don't even think about having a personal issue arise at work and contacting HR because the first thing HR will do is contact your manager to tell them what happened and you will forever be shunned. As for the bonus goes don't get a pep in your step because it's unrealistic and changes constantly.

    Advice to Management

Stop breathing down the necks of your entire staff.

    I worked at TRANZACT full-time

    Pros

They paid me well. It was a very short commute.

    Cons

In general they pay as little as possible. They engage in quarterly layoffs to meet projections. Executive management are all Ayn Rand worshiping objectivists and attending the Landmark Forum (or whatever they are calling it now) is an unwritten requirement for promotion. Atmosphere is generally pretty toxic: worrying about whether or not you will have a job in three months is basically the company pastime.

    Advice to Management

Management is far too convinced of their own intelligence and acumen. In general, management does not really *do* advice so I am not sure it is germane.

I worked at TRANZACT full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Parking garage, gym, onsite cafeteria, free coffee- great stepping stone towards a better job. If you are ready to back stab, take credit for someone else's work, watch everyone else get ahead while ur still training the people who eventually become your boss/ then this is the place for you!

    Cons

It's a boys club and the only people that get ahead are those in the boys club , the yes men and the yes women they keep themselves surrounded by. Talented and hard working employees are dispensable if one of the "boys" happen not to like you. Amount of favoritism is ridiculous. If your not one of the favorites you are treated less than nice. Hard work is not rewarded unless ur in the club. Revolving door. Management has no loyalty to their employees, they will throw u under the bus to save their own skin in a heartbeat. No communication between management and decision makers. about 15 people who "run the office", everyone else is replaceable. (That's the culture here)

    Advice to Management

Speak up for yourselves, be loyal and fight for your employees. Stop wasting talent and loyalty because your scared that by standing up to the "big boys" u might lose ur own job. Stop firing good people because certain big shots just don't "like them" or "they don't fit in with the culture". Losing a lot of good people just to make a few happy.
