I worked at TRAX International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good money, lots of hours,.

    Cons

If you get injured, you are replaceable. No life. Lesbians rule. Management and ZHR do not have your back. The ESOP is dubious. Pay out, unless you die, is 20% a year one year after retirement age (and that isn't legal early retirement age). I'm 66 and still waiting for my first pay-out after retiring at age 62.

    Advice to Management

Take a management course and learn how managers are supposed to act and talk.

    Pros

The feeling of pride because we are testing equipment to keep our soldiers in Theater safe and out of harms way.

    Cons

Currently, the insecurity of knowing whether we will win the contract since it has been protested so many times.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees advised as to what is going on, we appreciate it.

I have been working at TRAX International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interesting work gets done, get to see unique military vehicles. Very supportive management. Great people to work with. Safety is number one concern which is a great thing.

    Cons

Nothing really, just have to deal with the desert heat.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I worked at TRAX International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Investments in technology keep systems and hardware current.
    - Micromanagement is not an issue (at least in my experience).
    - Schedule flexibility promotes work/life balance.

    Cons

A small company that grew in size quickly without adjusting its leadership style/structure, so:
    - Very slow to adapt to change; outright resistant at times.
    - No annual performance reviews in place, and none planned.
    - No career development programs in place, and none planned.
    - No clear paths for advancement.
    - All decisions/progress funneled through 1-2 people, with time lags due to the bottleneck.
    - No apparent top-level interest in company's involvement in its communities.
    - No orientation/organizational history for new employees.

    Advice to Management

Good employees want to grow and advance. They want ways to measure and track their performance. They want clear goals and paths for advancement.

I worked at TRAX International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Engineering salaries are competitive for the market, management encourages work/life balance, and if you need to take off thete's never any issues.

    Cons

Shrinking market and corporate restructuring have led to stalled salary increases, smaller workforce, and longer hours.

    Advice to Management

Your people are intelligent. Don't tell them everything is fine, when they can see it's not.

    Pros

Fridays off, decent pay, good benefit package. There really isn't much else going for them.

    Cons

Terrible management. They have people working for them that have zero backbone and let employees who "know people" bully them into getting rid of other employees.

I worked at TRAX International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Trax encourages cross training so fewer people get laid off when their section gets slow. They go work in other areas. They use a program called ' leave without pay ' sometimes. This cuts down on everybody's pay a little so no-one loses their job during slow periods. It was steady work for 25 years. Good place to work.

    Cons

It is a desert environment in Yuma. It gets hot. Education is a must if you're going to progress. You won't be able to move to another position in the company that requires a degree if you don't have it. Even if you can already do the work. Even for less pay.

    Advice to Management

Remember that your work force is the foundation the company rests on. Do everything you can for them, and for their morale. This will serve you well in the long run.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the excellent leadership!
