    Pros

    Average health insurance coverage
    TSP 5 % saving
If you know someone in the management, you will get away with murder.

    Cons

TSA management doesn't care about you or any TSA officers. They don't care!
Overtime hours will pay lots of taxes
Bonus will pay lots of taxes
Low $20 for lots of overpressure works rules to get you fired careless micro management lie to TSO work like a dog easily got criticize &fired. No teamwork Treat 10years TSO like a threat if wanna get him fired. Made new hires run bins. It's a dead-end career w/ TSA.

    Advice to Management

If management sincerely do care about the security at the airport, they should not treated TSO badly (no appreciation, no understanding, no recognition)
Because without officers there's no security at the airport.

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The schedule is set, your days are your days and that doesn't change, the benefits are decent and the starting pay is alright.

    Cons

The management does whatever they want, the supervisors are slave drivers and the coworkers are out to get you at all times. Don't make a mistake or you won't get your raise for another year, also they'll fire you for picking up change on the ground.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, stop acting like children, start showing some appreciation for the work force that does your job for you.

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Not much to be happy about as a supervisor, lots of stress from above and below you. There is career progression, but you have to keep your head down and just say yes even if your leaders don't know what they are talking about to ensure you can keep promoting. Once you arrive above the bottom management level, your optimizing and ability to think for yourself begin to arrive.

    Cons

Lots of work little pay, no pay raises, and not of GS scale. Management, screeners and passengers blame supervisors for all mistakes or mishaps on the checkpoint. No policy is sticking around, one day there is all you can give out overtime the next day you are not allowed to offer anyone overtime even if there is a line. Management doesn't understand basic mathematical properties of passenger metrics, and blames supervisors for poor scheduling year after year.

    Advice to Management

Leave and allow qualified individuals to move up. This is only for the 25% of management that makes 99% of the workforce miserable.
