I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time

    Pros

A variety of different health, dental, and vision insurances.

    Cons

If your looking for internal growth (promotions) i suggest you elsewhere. The job can be very stressfull depending on your job, lots of annual recertifation and training. Yearly pay increases are done by supervisors that can sometimes rate low depending on person.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay, annual performance review needs lots of improving. Needs a variety of different shifts added

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time

    Pros

easy job, passengers are usually nice. Meet interesting people. Get fours week vacation after 3 years. great benefits

    Cons

Management isn't great. Some coworkers are lazy. Have to take multiple tests every year to maintain your employment. If you fail multiple times, you're fired.

    Advice to Management

Not gonna happen in Memphis. They only hire part time now and getting promoted to full time is gonna take a long time. TSA is now a part time job for new hires now.

    Pros

Vital Mission. Many good people that now have a better idea of how to get things done than they did in the years following the founding. Fosters Innovative thinking. Opportunities still abound for capable thought leaders in many fields.

    Cons

Still too many executives and senior managers with "old" political ideas and vendettas. Lack of clear operational command and control from HQ to airports. Operational realities and cultural constraints are burdensome. Poor relationship with legislative oversight. Opposition from both political parties for various reasons.

    Advice to Management

    Lead with courage.
