    Pros

Short shifts, decent benefits, easy work loads, free parking, decent perks, great people, stars coming to airport, overall a great job to be federal employment

Took too long to become full time, unnecessary background checks, unnecessary regulations, the job was a little draining however it was what it was.

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The hours, pay and benefits are good along with engaging passengers, employees and other agencies. The people I work with and my senior officers are easy going and most of the time fair.

    Cons

Distance from home and the hours on the road each week are hard to reconcile let alone the wear and tear on the car. Parking and fuel consumption are also reasons that reduce the desirability of this job.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work....... this job is worthwhile and important.

    Pros

Benefits are great, lots of different shifts to "choose" from.. the job is not hard at all, it is what you make of it..

    Cons

90% chance you will have to work weekends; everything pretty much operates on a seniority bases; and at times first come first served..

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If you make it past probation then you have limited bargaining rights. For the money you make vs the work you perform it really isn't that bad.

    Cons

TSA does not have Title 5 rights. As such the atmosphere is reminiscent of Animal Farm.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect and they will work harder.
