I worked at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job was serious but fun, all my co workers I still talk to now cause they were great. The leads and supervisors were quite helpful and great people.

    Cons

It was such a new company when I started that you constantly felt as if you were falling through the cracks, there was on a regular basis a loss between paperwork or words from lower employees to upper management.

    Advice to Management

    Communication, Communication, Communication

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a whole TSA can be a rewarding career or just a foot in the door for the thousands of government jobs out there in the world

    Cons

It's like high school, people too much worried about who and what you doing. How this one got that promotion and what not.... Ain't nobody got time for that 😳

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoy working with public. Learning about security in so many phases, and training. Working with associates new and old.

    Cons

The changes in operational procedure's seem to contradict and create miscommunication between associates due to limited time to study new procedure's.

    Advice to Management

Speak to the security officers on the front line and get their suggestions. Give TSO'S more time to study and get a clearer understanding of the mission.
