I have been working at TTM Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great entry level job for those right out of High School looking to gain experience. The company is large and allows for employees to move to new areas to gain new experiences.

    Cons

Great place to gain experience but it is hard to make a living off the wages. Due to the management structure, it is hard to advance in the company.

I worked at TTM Technologies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent learning environment. Everyone working in the process engineering department was very pleasant and helpful. No lack of projects to work on. Lots of hands on experience while not just sitting behind a desk pushing paper.

    Cons

Much of the equipment in use for production is old and outdated. Many disconnects between the process engineering department and upper management. The majority of the process engineers in my department, did not have a formal engineering background.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to become better connected to what is happening on the production floor, and don't solely focus on just the numbers.

I have been working at TTM Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. The production group will be going back to eight hour shifts so that they will be able to enjoy a better balance between work and home.

    Cons

Communication between departments can be broken at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue to talk with the people who do the job, they are the insight of the processes that they perform.

    Pros

Good pay. Lots of opportunity for your career. Training is good and communication is a focus.

    Cons

The non day shifts can be challenging if you're not a night person. Lower chances of moving into a day position from a night position due to infrequent turnover or growth.

    Pros

Excellent team. Great culture. Most people enjoy the atmosphere. Benefits are nice and include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, etc.

    Cons

Not much career growth. They need to develop a program which includes coaching and mentoring of identified talent who could come up the ranks. This program would motivate talented personnel to strive for more.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for advancement where possible.

    Pros

TTM offers good pay and is led by mgmt who knows how to achieve profitability in a difficult market. They have an annual sales conference that is pretty entertaining and offers employees a chance to mingle and learn about the latest product developments.

    Cons

Middle management is poor and company mentality is not customer service focused. The company is always right and never willing to be flexible for customers. TTM typically prices their products higher then the competition so it is not always easy to secure business in this very price competitive market. Asian markets are really hurting the big North American PCB shops.

    Advice to Management

Put the customer first! Offer better development tools to your sales people. Keep a close eye on middle level mgmt.
