    The University is not so much international, Not so interesting place to study and work.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of the general management of the University. It seems that every chair is like a kingdom here. Try to attract more international students.

    Pros

    Flexible Arbeitszeiten; anpassbar an das eigene Klausurenaufkommen in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit. Entspannte Kollegen, gute Möglichkeit sich über mehrere Institute zu vernetzten. Große Anzahl an TU internen Fortbildungsangeboten.

    Cons

    Arbeitdauer ist bei vielen Instituten begrenzt; gesetzliche Regelung deckelt die Dauer, die man als wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft an der TU arbeiten darf. Mitarbeiter erhalten in der Regel keine unbefristeten Verträge; durchschnittliche Dauer für eine Promotion bei 5 Jahren.

    Advice to Management

    Gleiche Behandlung von Teams wäre wünschenswert; es gibt Teams, die sich nicht in der Lehre einbringen müssen und andere, bei denen pro Semester 1-2 Veranstaltungen betreut werden müssen. Hier kommen Spannungen zwischen den Teams auf, insbesondere wenn dies an einem Institut der Fall ist. Die Institutsleitung sollte hier eingreifen und den Teamleitern nicht freie Hand lassen.

    Faire und entspannte Arbeitsbedingungen

    Arbeit auch in Ferienzeiten.
    Wenig Rücksichtnahme auf eigene Interessen.
    Teils kaum Mentoring
