    Pros

    - Investing heavily in digital, including a refurb of the office environment
    - Great industry to work in, it's a product everybody loves
    - On a personal basis, lovely people from bottom to top

    Cons

    - Salaries substantially lower than the going rate
    - While a work-life balance is definitely possible, if you choose to have that you won't get recognised and you won't get progression opportunity unless you're seen as putting in longer hours
    - SO much red tape, feels impossible to get anything signed off or done (and then the company wonders why things don't move fast enough)
    - Very corporate

    Advice to Management

Understand that in order to get and retain the top talent you can't cheap out on salaries. Loosen up on the corporate-ness and get rid of the endless reams of red tape - you'll soon see the difference!

I have been working at TUI Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great products and really engaged people. Most people stay at TUI, many of whom have been there for 30 years! Product is great, and the company does really well in dealing with global crises (which seem to happen every year).

    Cons

Slow development of tech. Takes years to develop anything, by which time the market has already been disrupted. Has a very loyal customer base, which is how it gets away with it, but as technology becomes more important to doing business, will need to improve in this area.

    Advice to Management

Invest in more smaller IT developments with agile outcomes, rather than big, global expensive projects

I worked at TUI Group as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loads of other young people to work with, good benefits in terms of cheap holidays, dress down fridays.

The canteen is cheap and the food is very good.

    Cons

Excessive daily targets for complaints resolutions. If you didn't hit your target you were expected to stay late to meet it.

    Advice to Management

Don't go on about 'customer focus' and how much you value the customers as you don't even give staff sufficient time to properly investigate customer complaints and compensate them appropriately.

I have been working at TUI Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can get to travel a lot and visit many countries.
Working hours are really good (most people work 8-5 or 9-6).
You can get promoted easily if you're ambitious.

    Cons

TUI is a giant company, very big. Lots of bureaucracy.
It is slow and very often inneficient. Moving forward a project can take years.
Lots of staff have been there 15+ years and have given up, complete lack of motivation.
Silo mentality with departmeents not communicating with one another.

    Advice to Management

Let go all the staff that lost its motivation. Be brave.
    Challenge yourselves
