I have been working at TUI Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get great opportunities to travel to amazing places. The time off benefits are amazing.

    Cons

Some management decisions seem to take forever due to indecisiveness. I've been here more than a year, and haven't received a raise because the company's about to be sold.

    Advice to Management

    Incentivize employees with raises!

I have been working at TUI Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - international working environment
    - opportunity to develop and try many different types of roles
    - dynamic and result driven company

    Cons

    - as it is a large organisation, the internal politics can be inefficient and time consuming
    - although it is an international environment it is still challenging to move roles across businesses if you do not know the right people. (HR have limited visibility, motivation to work across businesses and markets)

    Advice to Management

    - continue to challenge yourselves
    - evaluate/analyse cost savings and actions better and understand what their long term impact will be for the business

I have been working at TUI Group full-time

    Pros

Large company with very different divisions (retail, contact centre, airline, HO and overseas) so lots of opportunity to gain experience and move around for development. Great travel opportunities and benefits.

    Cons

No work life balance, high expectations for lower salary, can feel like a number as it's such a large organisation, difficult to make changes for the better.

    Advice to Management

Flexible working needs to be implemented, trust and respect employees that are passionate about working for the company and don't expect an employee to do the role of 2 or 3 employees.

I have been working at TUI Group full-time

    Pros

Growing and dynamic company with dedicated people working there. A good place to work in a very interesting environment

    Cons

The tourism industry is not the best paid sector. The small profit margins result in a strong pressure on cost reduction and strain on resources.

    Advice to Management

Bring more structure and a better thougth through IT infrastructure in the organisation to relief onerous operations

I have been working at TUI Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall company culture very nice, people are very happy and positive in general.
Lots of interesting areas of travel industry to work with and learn from: retail, digital eCommerce, airline, hotel operations, etc. etc.
Lots of perks as employee, travel allowance etc.
If you are great at your job, you get promoted quite quickly, they do recognise and cherish talent

    Cons

Huge organisation, can be quite bureaucratic and political.
Most of the head office jobs would be near airport offices so commute might be a problem for a lot of people.

    Advice to Management

Be more innovative, more agile and more experimental. Don't be too risk averse.
