    Negative Outlook

I worked at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Was empowered to do a lot with minimal supervision

    Cons

Was just an internship, I was not expecting much. I was hoping they might offer me a permanent position with competitive pay and benefits but they did not. I gained some good experience though.

    Advice to Management

Don't advertise this as an internship, it was a part-time administrative assistant position.

I worked at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good exercise and pretty good tips. If your out of shape and want to make some food and gas money, this place is for you.

    Cons

You get paid for billed hours, not by the hour. Management will put you on call (no work) if they don't like you and force you to quit so they don't have to pay unemployment. (Many employees went weeks without work)

    Advice to Management

Show more care for your employees and maybe your turnover rate wouldn't be so high. The "Now Hiring" sign has been up for years.

    "Long hours, Underpaid, Stressful nights"

I worked at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK part-time

    Pros

You are almost guaranteed work even if you are coming in as part-time. Lots of demand for bodies here. Long hours, possible tips, and possible rewards from customers.

    Cons

Long hours will turn into long days as you will often find yourself, and your team, working into the next day in the night helping customers move. An 8 hour shift can easily turn into a nightmarish 20 hour shift, leaving you sleep deprived for your next shift.

    Advice to Management

Stress to customers of the guidelines so they cannot take advantage of your employees.

I worked at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, customers give away a lot of good stuff

    Cons

You never know when you're going to be done for the day, which is just the nature of the business. There's also a lot of potential liability involved for everyone, and there's a ton of pressure on drivers and movers because of it.

    Advice to Management

Have your employees' backs more when it comes to customers. Employees work better when they know management is on their side.

If you can lead yourself. This is the job for you.

    Cons

Never know what the work load is going to be like.

Take more time to be proactive. Less time being reactionary when bad stuff happens. Have plans of action.
